There's so much choice of different food and places to eat in Osaka that it's nice to delegate the decision making to local experts. The group was 9 people led by our guide, Scott, an American who has lived in Japan for 14 years. We visited 5 different places and had multiple dishes to taste. It really was the best way to discover Osaka s street food with a fun group of people and an excellent guide. I would do it again if I'm ever back in Osaka.

If this is your first experience of Osaka’s cuisine then you’re in the right place with the right people. The location was great, busy vibe but not overwhelming. The restaurants, the food, the hospitality, the relationships Scotty (our guide) had with the chefs all made for an entertaining and fun experience. The food was authentic and devine and explained so we knew what we were eating. It was great value for money, generous portions to share and I was certainly satisfied and so was everyone else. 100% recommend, it was a fun night and shared with like-minded people and we all parted having had a great time. Our guide Scotty had a great sense of humour, kept in touch with us leading up to the tour and again afterwards offering to help us with anything else we needed while we were in Japan, he just made everything so easy. Thanks Scotty.

We covered all the famous major food highlights!
There were foods and beverages no one would ever know to try.
Our tour guide Scott was a knowledgeable native English speaker. It was fascinating too to hear about his life in Japan!
I particularly liked the small local eatery where our tour ended. As advertised, t was *very* local. No non-Japanese speaking person would know to go there. It was so cozy and just so cool!
(If you have a mild mobility disability - this tour would probably still work well for you. It was entirely flat ground with just a few blocks of walking in total. I have a bad knee (osteoarthritis) and a travel cane - and I did fine on this tour with no modifications required. (I never actually mentioned it to the guides directly as there was never any climbing or steps, etc.))

Our guide Andrew led us around the colourful Shinsekai and showed us some of what Odaka has to offer when it comes to good street food. He gladly answered questions from the group about Japan, with the insight only a local would have! Very interesting and very fun, and the food was amazing! 5/5

Our guide, Andy, was informative as well as entertaining! The food vendors were well selected with delicious local foods, no scary offal haha. Our group was a cheerful bunch so there were many laughs.

Words cannot describe how incredible the food, the tour and most specifically Andy was. This was my 70th birthday trip and Andy went out of his way to make it special for all 12 of us - ranging in age from 21 - 70. We had one person with an allergy to chicken and he made sure everything from the broth preparing the food to any part of the meal was fine for her. He even arranged for a birthday cake at one of the stops and karaoke until midnight. This you must book
