This trip is executed by Volare balloons and they are a professional shop from beginning to end - very organized and timely. Everything is as advertised - the pickup, snacks, breakfast, the ride in itself. Our captain (Juan) was great - loved the way they fly you low over the pyramids and give you a video of the whole trip!

Worst experience ever in total. We booked the Hot Air Balloon trip with shuttle bus and extra time.
The hot air balloon trip was not bad but the transportation was terrible. On the paper, it says it will leave for CDMX (return trip) at 1 PM at exact. However, the timing actually depends on if the extra paid pyramid trip was done.
For us unfortunately, we did not pay the 40 dollars extra to follow the guided tour but self arranged our tour. We returned to the gathering point at 12:45 but the bus already left. They called us at 12:35 and said they are leaving. We hop on a taxi asap but still didn’t make it. The whole “extra time” thing is just another trap to make you pay for the guided tour which probably not worth it, and if you decided not to do it, you would better hurry up to finish all the things and return as early as you can because they would not care about you.
Also, “no refund” is the only statement that actually got conducted perfectly.

This balloon ride was fun, the pilot was entertaining and professional. Booking was a nightmare. I was told to go to TWO different hotels AND they would pick me up at my airbnb. I spent at least 5 hours getting a commitment for transportation location pick up over two days. That was a travesty since I was in Mexico for a short period of time. Booking was disorganized and not knowledgeable. Complete train wreck.

I booked this trip for my partner's BDay (on his actual Bday). It was amazing, he loved it, and we had an amazing time. I am afraid of heights (I get scared when we fly), but the balloon wasn't that bad, I was nervous, but the level of fear was way lower than flying at 35K feet. We did get high up there, and the views are amazing. Our pilot was great, and the service was fantastic. We purchased the round trip to CDMX with time at the archeological zone, and the extended time at the archeological zone. We were picked up at a rendezvous zone in CDMX with others and driving to the lift off area of the balloons. The balloon flight is short about 30 mins and the wind controls your entire flight. After the balloon ride you are driven back to the take off point and served breakfast. The food is meh at best, but it’s worth eating if you chose to explore the pyramids bc it is so taxing. The archeological site is two miles long, it takes a lot of walking and time to go from one end to the other – plus the museum. You will be out in the sun, and it got very hot. Bring water, a lot of it, and sunscreen. We were then driven back to CDMX and dropped off in our neighborhood. It took about 1.5 hours to get back to the city. We got up at 3:30AM for our pick up time at 4:40AM and were back in our AirBnB by 2PM.

Ballon ride was amazing but the brunch was terrible. Also make sure you bring ID they almost didn’t let our son ride because he left his wallet at the hotel. Luckily he had ID savedbonbhis phone that they accepted

Totally recommended.
I recommend the plan with transportation and entrance to the pyramids, and with VOLARE, it completes the experience!
I would repeat it without thinking (I definitely will)
