Our operator was an hour late to pick us up, although he did communicate that with us. Our first stop was a Dominican house. This would have been really great if things were explained to us. We literally were all standing around wondering what we were looking at. Next was horseback riding. The horses were very poorly taken care of at we literally got to ride for 10 minutes. Then we were guided to the shops and the “open bar” this consisted of 2l bottles of soda and a container of rum and a bottle of mamajama. We then dropped off a few friends wherever they needed to go, went to a church, again with no explanation and no history. Then they took us to a market and literally walked us through it. No explanation or background and then we were taken to a gift shop. The last part of the tour is the reason I’m giving it a 2 because it was the best part. Lunch and views at the restaurant were good and the dune buggies were fun. The bus we rode in was junk. The AC didn’t work well, the seats were broken and the windows were broken. The whole ride was very bumpy, like the shocks were not working. There was a lot of driving and not so much of a tour.

5, my favourite tour & Christopher the tour guide was amazing, I’d enjoyed the zip line, horse riding & most of all the buggie ride was superlative

Overall the tour was good.. we had lots of fun on the zipline and the dune buggies, that was the best part!! The food was great. The part of the cacao farm was
nice and the horse back ride was nice but to short. The only downfall is the trip to the market!! Im sorry but it’s not a nice place to visit. I suggested the tour guide that they should really consider using the time spent going to the market on the horse back riding. Overall we had a great time if it weren’t for that.

The best part was our children getting to experience the city market in Higuey. It was eye opening to them to see how people live in this area of the Dominican. We loved zip lining and buggy riding. What we weren’t expecting was the very long bus rides. We were on the bus for 2 hours before we went to our first stop. There was an issue picking up some others at one of the resorts, so not the operators fault. We were picked up at 7:30am and didn’t get dropped off until 5:30pm. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, we just didn’t realize we would be gone that long. If you want an excursion where you really get to see a large part of the area, then this would be for you. If you were just wanting to do the horseback riding, zip lining or dune buggies, I would book those separately.
