Horseback riding in wine country (Tuscany) - what could be better? We signed up and Tomasso was our guide. He was really easy to talk to - very friendly and full of information.
I’ll admit that I thought the riding would be the best part. It was fun being back in the saddle again since I rode often as a child, but the push-button horses were a bit slow. I still thoroughly enjoyed the views, though. I think that for less-experienced riders this would be unintimidating and very special. Giacomo was in charge of the horses and he’s an expert rider. He wasn’t our guide, though. Tomasso rode along with us. He and Giacomo took photos so nobody would drop their phones - or the reins.
Next was our visit to San Gimignano. It’s a gorgeous medieval town. After giving us some history and pointing out the Gelateria Dondoli, Tomasso turned us loose to explore. I wish we had had more time. There were many art galleries and we bought some pieces in two of them. We’ll just have to go back another time.
Finally, we arrived at Corvucci Wines for a wine-tasting extravaganza. I thought it was just a Chianti tasting, but we tried it all - Prosecco, a white, a rose, a Chianti and some Super Tuscans. All were delicious. We bought some to be shipped home. The lunch itself was also wonderful. And, it was fun to pet and visit with the family’s Mastiff and pug. They were adorable.
Thanks again to Tomassso, Giacomo and Francesco Corvucci for a memorable experience. The photos were an added bonus.

Our tour guide Max was full of energy and information. He accompanied us all along the way. Our first stop was at a ranch to ride the horses. We were given detailed guidelines for safety and then took a horseback ride with the ranch owner through breathtaking country side. From there we headed to San Gimignano where Max walked us through some of the streets and gave us historical highlights. We also had some time to explore on our own. From SG we went to a family owned vineyard for a wine tasting and lunch. Fabulous host and fantastic food. The panoramic views were stunning.

Great experience. Horseback riding was fun and beautiful they even stopped to snap a picture for you if you would like. Afterwards you visited the town which was worth the trip by itself and finally the vineyard had the most beautiful views. Would definitely reccomend

This excursion was a bit chaotic, but it was actually better that way. Our tour guide, Max, was fun and friendly from the moment he saw us. Because the whole group arrived early, he brought us to Piazzale Michelangelo where we took some great early morning pictures. We drove to the ranch for horseback riding but to our surprise, the horses were out with another group. No worries, Max quickly pivoted and took us to San Gimignano, where he recommended where to get gelato and coffee. It was actually great to be there before it got too crowded with other tourists. Then we went back to the ranch, but the horses still weren’t ready, so we went to our wine tasting and lunch. It’s a good thing we did, because after the appetizer it started to pour down rain. We went inside, ate a wonderful pasta and kept drinking. The rain passed, and then we went to our horseback riding. After the tour, Max dropped us all off at a location more centrally located to our hotels.
