The Hop On Hop Off Bus is the greatest! It is perfect for getting the lay of the land and using it to get around to the different sites is great! We loved it! It is a good value as well!

The HOHO bus service is fine. It's just the 30 mins interval for Piraeus Line (to & from Cruise Port) is too infrequent, resulting in long queues. Apparently there's 3 or 4 HOHO bus operators doing almost the same stops... this adds to the confusion in joining the right queues. Slow Athens traffic adds to the pain. Probably won't do this when I next cruise into this port.

If you want a drive round athens its decent but traffic is bad commentary basic and the bus depot at acroppolis chaotic with incorrect i fo and disorganised management.

Positive: The bus drivers were very kind and helpful. In the busiest stations there were company assistants who offered information and guided you to the bus you should take, in case you were not sure.
Negative: I was trying to take the red color bus, but I was denied by the driver because this ticket was available only for the blue color.

We hopped on directly from our cruise ship with our luggage in tow. The bus had ample space allocated for transporting luggage. We saw beautiful costal sights before heading into the city to transfer busses at the Acropolis. The bus we transferred to stopped within a block of our hotel. This is a great transportation option when going from the port to the city, especially if you want to see the sights. The price was reasonable and the sights were a bonus! Great service and assistance by Sights of Athens personnel at the stops.

Almost no audio… it was fun to go to the top of the bus, view was great. But basically it was an overprice bus tour. Wish we had skipped it — it was not worth the price.

Great way to get around the city and be taken to a multiple location with lots to see and do. Great to have staff manning the stops.
Negative is that not all the plug in ports for earphones work. Can not move if there is a full bus.
