Love just riding the bus looking. The boat was the best at night. The boat went through canals and was a good time around city.

We always use these buses when in the big cities and they are usually excellent. This one is the exception. A very unexciting route unless you like traffic lights. Too many long stop overs and on the whole very boring. The stops are also badly signposted. Do yourself a favour and walk you will see more for free.

Bus was same as in other cities, route however too far away from many places, very little to see or reason to get of the bus during the route. This was mainly due to the many one way streets in Amsterdam. Commentary however good.

After almost completing a circuit on the Hop On Hop Off bus I can only say how completely unsatisfactory the service was to me and my partner along with about 6 other passengers on the same service. We paid 55 Euros for a 3rd rate service.
1. Audio guide was non existent for 1/3 trip. Driver was non apologetic about the situation only to say he was the driver only and couldn’t fix the problem. I would have thought that before he departed from stop 1 he should have ensured that the service of the bus and the audio and other equipment was functional.
2. On returning to same bus from stop 3 the audio was functioning however the driver’s speaker had a loud feedback along with distorted music for the entire duration up to stop 9 when we decided to disembark, never to return.
3. Two passengers, a man and woman (who was carrying baby) were descending the steps to leave bus (also unable to cope with speaker issues) when bus suddenly began to move without warning causing woman and baby to fall down steps).
4. Two passengers were climbing stairs and just reached the top when bus began to move off causing man to fall to the floor.
5. Advertises as having onboard wifi. Not available due to technical issues.
If this is the way the operators operate your service I wish them all the success for the future because they will need it. Totally unacceptable service and I would definitely not recommend this service to anyone at all.

We sat at the front on the top deck and went all the way round before deciding where to get off. Commentary was good on headphones. The app. told us where the buses where so we knew how long we would have to wait. We got off at the diamonds and the Heineken experience. Managed to catch the last bus back and walked through the station looking in some shops before going back to the cruise ship.

Absolute ripoff. Way over priced for just a few stops. Almost no narration, terrible driver. Advertised as bus and boat tour but were told there were no boats running. Have done great hop on hop off in many cities and they were reasonably priced and excellent. This one an overpriced letdown nothing

I have visited many countries and used hop on hop off, Amsterdam is the worst one ever and wouldn’t recommend to anyone
Very expensive trip that we ended up getting off the bus after 3 stops ! Costing is €55 an absolute joke !
Why arrange a route that does not go anywhere worth see by bus !!!!!

I rated this a 3 because we were never able to find the actual bus or boat to get on. Since we were new to the city- it was hard to know what vehicles to get into that aligned with the ticket we bought.

So, it was a wet day, but this canal boat trip was very disappointing. I think the heating must have broken down as the boat was very cold and all the windows were steamed up so difficulty seeing anything! The boat driver said he was transferring us to a ‘warm boat’ at Centraal Station. There was no commentary or instruction from the driver and you helped yourself to the earplugs from a box! On our transfer (we had to climb from one boat to another!), however the second boat was no better than the first….steamy windows, again no instruction or commentary except the help yourself earplugs! And cold!
We disembarked half way thru the 2 hour trip……a waste of money and not up to the usual HOHO experiences of other places. Can’t recommend this one….
