We had plenty of time to walk across the dam and take it all in. Would have liked some more time to walk across the bridge.

Looking at technology is wonderful and hearing the history behind it is amazing. Making memories with family and friends is important.

Tour started out ok except we were told to be at the pickup site 15 minutes early so we didn’t hold up the tour and the driver was still 10 mins late. The locations that we were taken to were great but we were on the shorter tour that did not include the generator tour and there were people on the bus on the longer tour as well so we ended up being on the long tour but without seeing as much. We just had to wait around for the longer tour people. The most annoying part of the tour was the suggestion of a $10 per person tip on the tour guide but also they driver asking at the end that we tip him $10 or more per person. On a bus of 60 people that amounts to $600+ in tips. This was from a driver that didn’t provide any entertainment or narrative along the tour. He was basically just a driver. So to summarize; the sites were great, the tour was longer than expected because the long tour people and short tour people were on the same bus and it was tacky that they not only suggest but ask for a specific minimum tip from everyone.

There wasn’t anything exciting about this trip. It was just a group of people sharing a taxi to drive you around. Downside is that you are on everyone else’s clock not just your own, so you have to wait around for everyone to be done. Nothing exciting about this trip. In this trip the drivers microphone did not work, therefore whatever he was communicating about the stops not everyone heard. Also the chargers on the bus do not work, so bring your phones fully charged or a power source, but the driver had 2 chargers you could use. Not to mention the driving, our driver didn’t clear a sharp left turn and almost took a stop sign with him. Felt like the episode of SpongeBob where he scrapes the boat. I don’t know if the day we selected to go to Boulder City was just not a good one, but that was a ghost town. Maybe a weekend day would be more alive.

Hover Dam was great
Getting there was an issue. Bus was sent to wrong location to drop off riders for a river adventure. We had to stop at a second location for drop off. Return trip stopped to pick up riders and they were not at the location. Delayed to and from attractions.

We were sold the tour as go the the bridge overlooking the dam see the movie on the history of the dam then a tour through the tunnels and the generator room then a hour to ourselves to explore. We didn’t have time to even walk on the dam didn’t get to do the tunnels or the generator room. Literally only saw the dam from the bridge above for 20 mins then the observes for 5 mins before we had to be back at the bus to drive to wait to pick up rafting passengers. A total rip off. Not what we were sold at all. Awaiting contact from manager and full refund (hopefully). This was a bucket list trip for my husband myself which we won’t get the opportunity to repeat as flying home today. Totally frustrated and disappointed. It cost $150 USD
