Take a guided hike in Griffith Park to enjoy the stunning views of the Hollywood Sign, Griffith Observatory and LA skyline. Throughout the course of the hike we will ascend the equivalent of 15 flights of stairs at a leisurely pace and take frequent stops to admire the views and hear about the history of this beautiful terrain. Often there are film crews shooting scenes along this trail, who knows who we might spot? As we approach the belly of Griffith Observatory, the iconic Hollywood Sign will come into view and provide a spectacular backdrop to your photos that will make you the envy of all your friends. Get close to the REAL stars at Griffith Observatory, LA’s renowned astronomy museum, with its sweeping terraces. You have the option of entering the building (closed Mondays) after the tour or take the short hike back with your guide. Designed by a former Observatory employee, no other tour presents the history, beauty and context of this area quite like we do, come find out why!

Just went on this tour on Saturday, for my birthday. Our guide was Matt. We had a good time overall. The suggestions I would make are:
1) on your website it says tour begins and ends at the same location, that is not true. Tour begins at Franklin cafe but ends at Griffith Observatory, so you either need to catch the Dash bus down or walk.
2) I don't know if this is what Matt has to do, but he talked a lot about LA transportation and how bad it is (which is true) and a few other topics that did not pertain to our walk. We stopped a lot to hear him talk and I think that is why we ran a little over in the tour.
3) Also, when we began the tour Matt said the first hill would be the hardest part, at least for me the big hills getting up to the observatory were harder so I think that should be omitted
We appreciated Matt taking the time to take pictures for us of the sign and Observatory and telling us where the best spots would be for pictures.
I thought we would be right near the sign, which we weren't which was an oversight on my end.

This tour is so amazing.??? Matt is such a great tour guide. He keeps the tour upbeat and very entertaining with bits and pieces of history, trivia and architecture.
Definitely worth it being under the sun for hours. Will for sure do this again.????

It was a great tour. It gave meaning to many sites that we would have visited without knowing their story and it covers a lot. Highly recommend it.

Amazing hike that takes you through the winding streets in the neighborhood beside the park and then up to the observatory. Our guide was phenomenal, the best storyteller and sweetest person. He was truly amazing! Would definitely recommend this tour.

This was a fantastic experience, we learned so much and definitely got our steps in. There are definitely some very steep uphills at certain points, but we went slow and took plenty of breaks for water, pictures, and information. The views were amazing and our guide, Paul, was so knowledgeable and engaging. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to get some exercise and learn about the history of LA, Griffith Park, the observatory, and surrounding areas.
