The whole day was memorable , if a little crowded when trying to take photos , the scenery was spectacular and we felt as if one of the characters would just pop out of one of the houses , fantastic day for all ages .

We had a fantastic time at Hobbiton. This was on my son’s bucket list for our NZ trip but tbh with a daughter not particularly into LOTR we wondered how this day would go down. We needn’t have worried as everyone absolutely loved it and the addition of the two hobbit houses to explore is a great addition . Our guide was brilliant and we had such a great day. The groups were kept to a manageable size which meant it felt like the set wasn’t swarming with people. However worth noting it’s essential to book well in advance in peak season

We really enjoyed our Hobbiton experience. They were well organized and our guide Ellie was very enthusiastic, humorous and informative. The new Hobbit house interiors were lovely and full of fun charming details of Hobbit life. We would go again to take in the enchanting atmosphere.

The entire experience was exceptionally well done. The groups were spaced so we never felt rushed. Umbrellas were provided to protect visitors from the sun. The staff was knowledgeable, welcoming and helpful. We were able to tour the new interior display which was incredibly detailed and creative. Overall magical - everything we were hoping for!

It was a great tour! Our tour guide, Toby, did a great job showing us around and answering so many questions. The set itself was amazing and we were fortunate to be there on the day of the opening of the new interior hobbit holes, which was great. Highly recommend for LOTR and non-LOTR fans.

Best experience. Our guide Stephen ( or Doug if we decided we didn’t like it, lol) was enthusiastic, knowledgable and infectious in his love of the place. I thought how good could it be, as I have paid a lot of money to see this type of attraction over the years - I couldn’t have been more blown away - worth every cent. It was just like being in the movie. The only thing missing was a few random hobbits serving drinks in the green dragon pub - I hope they keep developing the site it’s really well done. Great job to all involved.
Please be aware that there were no tickets available for sale on the day and it appears that you need to book around 5 months in advance to get a particular day and time . We booked in May for December and almost all tickets were sold out

We arrived on time but because of parking situations (the kid volunteer didnt let us park on the campervan park apart the fact we were riding a campervan........) the bus went without us and it made us lost the lunch we had ordered. Instead of offering us the full refund or another meal, they just offer us a reffund of 50%. It really sucks. My wife was already on the bus, we had the tickets and if they could communicate with me and let me park I could have made it. But at the end they just didn't care. I am very sad for the terrible service.
