Wonderful experience and our tour guide Mike was knowledgeable and fun. My wife Debbi and I had a great time seeing the Shire and the New Zealand countryside!!! A must see, especially after Dec 2023 when the new full size walk in hobbit hole will be completed!!

Liked everything except we felt rushed. Would definitely recommend it to others. Michael, our driver and tour guide was very professional, knowledgeable, had great stories to share, and funny. He also gave good recommendations for the rest of our time in Auckland.

We are an elderly couple from USA. Our guide was fun and knowledgable and was very helpful to group members. We enjoyed the trip through the beautiful countryside. The Hobbiton set was delightful, the gift shop and facilities were very good and had delicious snacks. The tour was a highlight of our visit to New Zealand.

Took the Hobbiton only tour from Auckland. Mike was a fantastic driver and tour guide. I haven't seen any of the movies or read the books but I still had a great time. There was some construction going on at the movie set but it didn't take away from the experience. Anyone coming should try the delicious food at the Shire and Green Dragon Inn.

Our guide Mike was an amazing host. The drive out to Hobbiton was smooth and he provided us lots of interesting information about the region along the way. My wife was the big Lord of the Rings fans and this trip was for her, but I’m glad I made the trip too as I enjoyed the beautiful country side and found the movie set experience to be surprisingly fun, whimsical, and worth the trip. If your trip includes a stop for ice cream on the way back, trust Mike’s recommendation of the Hokey Pokey flavor.

This is the best tour experience I’ve ever had. Michael was phenomenal from beginning to end of our tour. He was so welcoming, friendly, funny, and informative during our tour. On the drive there and back, he allowed space for us to enjoy the views and take it all in.
Everything was perfect the whole time. I will do this tour again every year!!! I’d give it 10 stars if I could!

Must go in Auckland! I needed to change the date cause the weather was not good, and Nicolle did very attended and Michael are the best and makes everything turns special! He is a great photographer too! Hobbiton is unforgettable! Highly recommend this tour!
