Be fascinated as the magical world of Hobbiton comes to life and take photos in front of your favourite places like the Hobbit Holes, the Shire and the Green Dragon Inn. Then journey to the World Famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves and be captivated by the thousands of magical glowworms twinkling in the Grottos, the stalactites and stalagmites as you glide silently through the cave by boat. Marvel at the stunning scenery en route as we journey off the motorways into the real hinterland of New Zealand. All admission fees and cafe lunch included.

Our guide Mike it's excellent. We enjoyed the day so much. It's a tour highly recommended for fans and not fans of Lord of the Rings you will pass an amazing day.
And the Waitomo Caves it's also a unique thing for seeing.

It is like a dream comes true when I can experience those incredible things from film in real life. And I can know about how they created the movie set.
I have been to some caves but this is the first time I experienced glowworm caves and it was amazing.

My driver was Jaime and he was very fun and helpful throughout the tour. I was already excited...but he got everyone in the van more excited for the tour we had coming. Jaime is full of knowledge, be it recent news or history of the places we were passing by or where we were headed to. A smooth driver and thoughtful of everybody's needs. When I come back and tour again, I hope to have Jaime as my driver. I know I'll have a smooth memorable experience.
The Hobbiton tour was better than I expected! It felt so surreal being there, I felt at home since I'm "hobbit size" but the fan in me was cherishing every moment. The place is well maintained and at times I expected someone to come out smooking pipe weed. My tour guide was Sebastian and damn did he do a great job! Everyone can tell that Sebastian loved his job and it didn't feel like work to him. So many fun facts and Sebastian's knowledge of the films, books, and set was perfect. I hated that the tour ended but I loved that I was able to be part of it.
The Waitomo glow worm cave was breathtaking. First I'll tell you, the caves didn't have a bad smell, like other caves I've been to. The formations, the enthusiasm of the tour guides, and the glow of the worms just left everyone in awe.
My whole tour, Hobbiton and Waitomo glow worm caves, was wonderful. One of the best decisions of my life. Tha ks to everyone who took part in making, not just my day, but experience in New Zealand unforgettable.

The Hobbiton tour, with the opportunity to go inside a Hobbit home was fabulous and picturesque. The glow worms was an ethereal experience!

I can't think of anything that would make this tour better. Everything was thought of and ran smoothly. Guide was super knowledgeable and made the day fun. Very clear mike loves his job and his energy is infectious. Thankyou again

An amazing and magical day with Mike from Auckland City Tours to Hobbiton and the Waitomo Glowworm Caves. What a guy! That smile never left his face. He knew everyones name and where we were all from. He took pictures of all of us throughout the day. Mike kept track of everyone at each stop/location and kept the tour on track and on time. The two hour drive from Auckland was stunning. Mike's knowledge of the area was a plus. Such a gorgeous countryside. Hobbiton was fantastic. Definitely worth the trip. Glowworm Caves were magical and an added bonus was the beautiful Maori song by Charly our cave guide. Highly recommend this tour.

Our driver and guide “ Magic” Mike was the best. He was very informative and went over the top to take care of his customers. He is one of the best I’ve seen in a long time. I would do this tripagain in a heartbeat.

Thoroughly enjoyed the ride through the country and our pleasant, kind and knowledgeable guide, Jamie. Hobbiton blew my mind away. It was simply incredible.
The ride to the glowworm caves was also a treat. The lunch was special. And at the caves, it was both educational and awesome.
