I wanted to learn more about Hiroshima from a local’s perspective, and this guided tour was the best activity I chose to do. My guide Naomi-san was welcoming, she shared many personal stories of growing up and living in Hiroshima. The hike was beautiful and I did not expect to see a breathtaking view of Hiroshima’s mountains and islands from the top of the mountain. After the observatory, Naomi-san made matcha tea, and it was the best cup of tea I’ve ever had. When ever can you try matcha in a tea ceremony style at a shrine, gazing over a beautiful view? I felt so energized and refreshed after my tour. I recommend this tour to anyone looking to see the city from the local POV.

We learned a lot about Japanese culture as well as the history of Hiroshima. The traditional tea ceremony with the amazing view is something one must experience for oneself. Nana our tour guide was friendly, amazing and very well spoken in english.
I would highly recommend this tour.

Nana was great.She gave us an explanation of all the shrines along the way to the tea Ceremony.
The Tea was delicious and seeing it prepared in the traditional way was Captivating.
The Forrest Bathing was something unexpected but really interesting.
I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants learn more about Shintoism

Unforgettable adventure in Hiroshima. Naomi went above and beyond to make the day special. We visited a sacred shrine, had a forest meditation,, and enjoyed a tea ceremony. Naomi was kind, knowledgeable, and fun. We highly recommend this tour.

Micchi! Such a competent, friendly and knowledgable guide! We wanted a break from the usual touring and chose this tour to get away from the city and enjoy a little nature. We so enjoyed every minute of what we saw and did. The climbing was a bit strenuous, but good for us! And, the view at the top is quite fantastic. Don’t want to spoil too much for any readers, but the time in the forest and tea ceremony were quite special because these are things you don’t do on other tours. It felt more personal.

Nana was an excellent guide and gave me many details on the shrines we saw and the history behind them. The forest through which we climbed was beautiful with nice shade and the views of Hiroshima from the top were spectacular. It was also very interesting to hear the story about the silver dome building at the top. The tea ceremony was lovely and the tea was very welcome!
