The trip to Miyajima and then from there to Hiroshima was a pleasant one. Seeing the shrine is a once in a lifetime experience.
Visiting the dome, museum was a saddening experience. I was moved by the tragedy, being so close to it and viewing the photos and memorabilia from the tragedy.
Ken is a great guide. Not only did he walk us through the details, but he also gave a lot of general information. I will cherish this experience forever.

Our private guide Noriko picked us up from train stop. When we got out of train car, she was right there holding my name sign. Then we headed for Miyajima island. is very knowledgeable about the tour. She prepared lots illustrative photos as bout history, current affairs. She also arranged a good restaurant for lunch and a famous snack store to taste local staples. It was a very productive day. Noriko makes this one-day trip very meaningful.

Yuko was our guide and she did a great job! She was on time, got us to all the destinations planned, with helpful historical and personal information, that made the tour very meaningful to us.
We learned a lot about the history of Hiroshima and Miyajima! I highly recommend Yuko, who had great communication skills.
I was not not surprised to learn that she did her graduate degree in Linguistics and the University of Massachusetts,and was a former English teacher for ten years in Japan after graduating.
If you want an unforgettable and memorable experience, book Yuko, as she is the best!

Sumio is an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and nice person. Answered all my questions. Was generous with his time, offering to start early and finish late. Helped organize transit from Kyoto. Highly recommend.

Kahori was an amazing guide. It was raining the day of our tour and she switched our schedule to make the most of the day and it worked out so perfectly. She was kind, funny and very knowledgeable about Miyajima and the Peace memorial park. She also let us know the good photo spots and took photos of us throughout the day which she shared with us at the end. I am so glad we booked this tour for our family! Will never forget Kahori or our time in Hiroshima.

Awesome experience excellent guide. To understand the atomic bomb and the consequences of such devastating weapon, you must come and see the museum and see the actual devastation that's left and hear about the stories.

It was our first visit to Japan, we hired our guide Mrs. Tomoyo to visit Hiroshima area, we met her in the station, very punctual, she welcomed us and surprised us with a lot of attentions. Very kind and accurate, she showed us with passion Mijayima Island and Hiroshima memorial. We have been lucky to meet her.

The positives: We enjoyed the sites we went to: The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and Miyajima Island. The museum was very interesting and moving, and Miyajima is pretty and interesting. We had a nice boat ride from Hiroshima to Miyajima.
The negatives: Although our guide Miyoko was very nice and tried to be engaging, we both had a difficult time understanding her English, and we didn't find her that informative. At a certain point we both gave up on trying to converse with her as conversation was difficult. We had native Japanese guides in Tokyo and Kyoto who spoke clear English, and we were able to understand them and converse with them very well, so this tour definitely stood in contrast to our previous experiences with Japanese guides.
From other reviews I've read here, it seems to be a bit of a roll of the dice on the quality of guide you get.

We enjoyed a great time with our guide, Kenji. He was very descriptive and explained each detail passionately. Historical visits were really memorable and I would recommend this trip to my friends!
