A stunning city, food was great, lots to see and do, we obviously went to the Hiroshima peace park, I would say I felt the same about this visit as I did when we visited Auswitz, it’s not a day out I was looking forward too, because it is very very sad, but if you are there it is something you must do, it is very well explained, and Japanese people are respectful and very welcoming

We were met in the lobby at the hotel by the Suntours operator and met our guide before being transported on a bus to the ferry terminal and the guide very knowledgeable also we went to Miyajima and saw the temples and the victory gate and had free time to wonder around . You don’t have enough time to do the ropeway unless you don’t want to stay with the guide which is a shame . Then boarded the ferry back to the bus and then dropped off with the guide at the Aromic Dome and Peace memorial before going into the Museum and transport back to Hiroshima Station . It was a very good day and we only had 20 in our group so was nice to meet people from all over the world

The tour was for Hiroshima and Miyajima. We first went to Muyajima and given far too much spare time, leaving no time for Hiroshima which was our priority and wanted to see at a slow pace. In the Hiroshima museum we were left with under 40 minutes which was more than inadequate. We could not read the captions or see the audio visual.
I have classified the tour as poor only as the guide was good. Otherwise the tour was not one I would commend.

We highly recommend the one day Miyajima & Hiroshima tour run by Sunrise tours, particularly if you have the perfect guide, which we did. Our guide, a former ANA, hostess was not only knowledgeable about the history around us, but, during the drive to & from the ferry port, kept us entertained with interesting information about Japanese life & culture.
The whole day ran very smoothly. This would not have been the case if we'd attempted to do the same on our own!

Best tour! Miyajima was beautiful! Our tour guide was very cheerful and informative and from Hiroshima, so very real. The peace museum was surreal and heartfelt. Such a beautiful tribute to such a tragic event.

Lovely tour, the island is beautiful and our tour guide was very informative. Just watch out for the biting deer. Also the museum of Hiroshima bomb was very moving of feelings as to what these people went through.

The Miyajima Island is beautiful and worth a visit. We were there for about 3 hours and it was very well spent. Our guide Mrs Taeko Watanabe from the Sunrise tour was knowledgeable and took efforts to make everyone comfortable in the group. Very elegant lady. The Hiroshima peace memorial is beautiful and the respect and compassion with each artifact is displayed and taken care of is worth mentioning. It brought home to each to each one of us in the group how useless and futile war is and how devastating nuclear weapons are. Truly there should not be another Hiroshima again anywhere in the world. This is what the Japanese people truly want to show with this nemorial. The grounds are beautiful and huge and it's worth spending more than 2 hours here.
