The tour was exactly as described….but better. Our guide, Ronald, was so knowledgeable and thoughtful. We saw three types of monkeys, poisonous frogs, venomous spiders, and amazing flora and fauna. The waterfall was refreshing, the lunch was fantastic, the hanging bridges had the perfect amount of sway, and the Arenal 1968 trail gave us spectacular views of the volcano. But, Ronald made this trip everything amazing. Huge thanks to Jacamar for showing us the detail of this area of Costa Rica.

This tour was an epic experience! It's a "must do" if you're in La Fortuna. Jose, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable. We felt like we learned so much from him about Costa Rica, the history, the flora and fauna, etc. We saw lots of animals. There's a reason why it's called the hiking lover's tour - it was a long day and we were pretty tired after, but it was definitely doable and not something we would not have wanted to miss. Our driver was very good as well. He picked us up promptly from our hotel and got us safely to each of the different sites. Jacamar makes it very convenient in taking you to see the three different sites, so you don't have to drive or get your own tickets. The lunch provided was excellent. It is an all day adventure so be sure to plan accordingly. We were able to leave things in the van while going to the different sites. Definitely bring sunscreen and bug spray. Water shoes probably would have also been helpful for the waterfall, especially if you want to swim. And bring cash to tip your guide, they deserve it!

Highly recommend this jam packed tour! Our incredible day started off with a hanging Bridges tour through the jungle. Our guide for the day, Carlos (aka Maleku), was amazing! He was SO knowledgable about the plants, animals, and environment. He had a knack for spotting wildlife and we were able to get great quality photos through his spotter scope. Afterwards, we went to the La Fortuna waterfall and swam around in the water and surrounding river. Jacamar even thoughtfully provided towels for us. Be prepared for climbing down and then back up ~600 steps for this portion. Next, we were taken to a true Costa Rican meal at Jacamar's farm. This meal was one of the best we had during our vacation, and most of it comes from their farm. We ended our day with a hike in front of Arenal volcano. We learned a lot about Arneal and the volcanos of Costa Rica, as well as the terrain and fauna of the area. Throughout the different activitiew, we were transported around in a nice, comfortable, air-conditioned van with a great driver! We will definitely do other tours with Jacamar when we turn to the area!

This was a great day! Good variety in activities, and a really good way to experience the area in short amount of time. Our guide was excellent! We saw a ton of wildlife, even a sloth! The bridges are beautiful! Travelers – be aware that it is crowded. We loved the waterfall and swim! The volcano park was nice ending activity. This tour included a gourmet farm to table lunch in a beautiful, secluded, tropical setting! Five stars all around! I would do this tour again!

Fantastic tour! Hugo was so knowledgeable and the hiking and sights were second to none. Volcano, hanging bridges and waterfall. We learned so much and spotted so much wildlife we wouldnt have done otherwise. Brilliant guide and day. Thank you

What a wonderful day with Diego! Very knowledgeable and experienced guide, love his passion for the environment! Diego adapted his tour for his guests, finding snakes and tarantulas to keep a 12 year old excited on an early walk, then highlighting plants and leaf cutting ants when joined later by avid gardeners 😊.
As a bird enthusiast, this was one of the best experiences I’ve had! The private restaurant on farm was fantastic! Highly recommended!

We spent a full day exploring the Arenal area today, and what a day!
Our fabulous guide, Andres, was absolutely wonderful: warm, engaging, extremely knowledgeable and informative. He was enthusiastic (and patient— like when my husband lost a sandal in the river and insisted on finding it— which he miraculously did).
The day was full of sights and experiences and just enough physical exercise. The lunch was fresh and delicious. (And in a serene setting with a lovely variety of birds (and even a nearby sloth).
I highly recommend this full-of- variety tour: A great way to discover the natural riches of this part of Costa Rica!

Fantastic tour - well organized and the staff are great. We did hiking lovers - Arenal volcano, hanging bridges, la fortuna waterfall. Definitely worth the money.
Staff were lovely, very knowledgeable and passionate about their work. Nelson was our guide and he was fantastic. He was very kind, and put in a lot of effort to ensure we learned about the animals, the country/area, and the history, while also having a sense of humour.
The actual tour was fantastic, and it was well worth the price, especially since we only had a few days in La Fortuna and didn't have a lot of time to plan ahead. We considered touring around ourselves (we rented a car), but when considering the entrance fee required for each place we went to, and the hassle of having to pick up a tour guide just for the hanging bridges, we went for a full day tour instead and were really happy with our choice. Sometimes its nice to just relax and have everything taken care of! They provide lots of water too, and a towel to swim at the waterfall, and the lunch was FANTASTIC. You stop at a little fruit/veg farm and eat in a small outdoor restaurant surrounded in trees and birds and a lovely pond.
I highly recommend grabbing a drink to go at the bar when you reach the top of the stairs at the La Fortuna waterfall - I had a pina colada and it was the perfect reward after all of the stairs!
I would recommend this to any friends/family travelling to La Fortuna.

Amazing tour and full use of time! Our guide, Marco, eas very smart, kind, personable, professional... you name it. One of the best experiences I've had and I would come back many more times!
