This was our last outing after spending 10 days in Iceland. It is such an amazing country... lovely people, and our flight up into the mountains above Reykjavik was the perfect way to finish out our holiday in the land of fire and ice. We landed near some geothermal vents that are used to help power/heat the city... stunning! Our pilot, Lukas... lotta fun, excellent pilot... took us through some narrow canyons coming through the mountains... it was exhilarating, being so close to the sides of the mountains. Yes, I recommend doing this trip!!!

The flight was on Saturday morning,we had so much luck and wonderful weather. I was able to see the sunrise from the Heli and even better on the mountain. The geothermal springs were fantastic and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Our Pilot was very kind and skilled. Thank you so much for the wonderful tour. I can recommend it from the bottom of my heart, It's worth every single Euro/Isk.

If you do not do anything else in Iceland you MUST do this! We arrived to meet Gisli our pilot. Gisli is knowledgeable about the area and we took off and landed in DEEP snow with ease! Gisli even made a path for us in the snow which was knee deep and did not mind me taking my time getting back to the helicopter after what could only be described as a snow work out for all of us!
Gisli is a great pilot and we hope to fly with him again next time!

I booked a Geothermal helicopter flight for my partner and her best friend as a birthday surprise whilst visiting Iceland. They both said it was incredible. The views were out of this world and would recommend doing it for anyone visiting Iceland.
I personally dealt with Birta in the office who was amazing from start to finish. Memories for life and highlight of their trip.

Wow. The literal and figurative high point of our trip. Our pilot Siggii Steinarsson was outstanding. An exceptional pilot and guide who really helped us to understand the incredible landscape we were viewing. We made a landing in a geothermal area and viewed a couple of amazing waterfalls. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get above it all and see Iceland from an amazing perspective.

Booking process through TripAdvisor was easy and got confirmation from the excursion company about the trip which was good.
Firstly thank you to the pilot, he made the trip so so so good with a smooth flight and good knowledge and a great sense of humour. The views over Reykjavik and Iceland were stunning, we all had big smiles the whole time. The stop off at the geothermal area was amazing and the take off again was so good up and over the mountains. Felt very lucky to have done this trip and would highly recommend it.

Nordflug excellent at arranging and keeping us informed, the pilot was excellent, the sun shining, the hot springs steaming, the whole trip was fantastic. Granddaughter and I were thrilled and exhilarated. Totally recommend.

This was the highlight of our stay in Iceland. A professional service which felt completely comfortable and safe. Our pilot Sævar was friendly and knowledgeable, happy to answer all our questions. Stunning views of Reykjavík and the volcanic landscape beyond. We landed at Hengill geothermal area. It was amazing being among the hot springs; the clouds of steam very dramatic in the sun. The landscape is fascinating, and so is how it's used to supply power to Iceland. We learned a lot about volcanoes, geothermal activity, and the energy infrastructure. A brilliant experience all round.
