We loved this excursion. We had a private vehicle for our family of 5. The tour guide, Dan, was friendly and taught us a lot. Our 3 teens loved hiking the lava tube.

Seeing the caldron of the Kilauea volcano. Also, our guide Daniel was awesome -- kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Also enjoyed the tour of the island with Dan pointing out interesting sites.

Had a nice tour today, met right outside the cruise port. Very informative driver! Answered all of our questions and back on time to the port. Booked outside the normal cruise excursions.

What an incredible tour! Our guide Alex was so knowledgeable and friendly, sharing so many personal stories with us to really help us understand what we were seeing and the culture of Hawaii. Alex couldn’t have been nicer or more personable and he truly made our experience a 10/10!

Be very aware the trip advisor price was $178 dollars per couple more than buying trip on key side. Trip advisor refused a refund hiding behind terms and conditions. Be aware. The tour itself was brilliant and alone would deserve 5 Stars

We were so lucky with this tour. First stroke of luck was to have Dan as our tour guide! Been on the islands his whole life and has a ton of interesting facts, lore and legends of the islands. Second stroke of luck was we actually got to see Kilauea erupt....closeup! Dan had brought binoculars and a scope. To see closeup the lava flow and fire was awe inspiring, pretty sure this is something I will never forget!
We saw alot more on the tour, but the volcano takes the cake.
Additonally, tour minivan was a new vehicle, clean and very comfortable.
Ask for Dan, you'll be in great hands!!

We used “Malahini Tours” and Alex Galdones was our tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. We will definitely recommend using this company and especially Alex to our family and friends!

This tour was perfect! We got to see the highlights of Hilo. Our tour guide Alex was very knowledgeable and accommodating. It was convenient for us getting off/on the cruise ship. Highly recommend this tour!
