Our tour guide, Mel, was fantastic from start to finish, every detail was perfectly covered. Can’t say enough good things about this tour, about Mel’s knowledge, & about this wonderful experience. 5 stars all around to Viator/Aloha Sunshine Tours & to our guide, Mel. Thank you. The Ryerson’s -we were a family of 4, including our 14 yr old daughter, & 16 yr old son, who is a national parks & history buff. Mel was an amazing guide. He was so knowledgeable and knew the island. We had so much fun. From pick up at the airport to drop off everything we very smooth. We all had ample time at each stop to take in the history and beautiful views!

This tour was exceptional! Everything was planned and organised for us from plane tickets from Honolulu to the Big Island. All communication with the tour company and our guide was clear and excellent. Upon arrival we met our guide for the day Mel. He was fantastic. His knowledge and passion for his homeland, his job and the comfort of his guests was exceptional. He gave us the history of the Island in immense detail and then switched to his scientific knowledge once we reached the volcanoes. It was clear he was very experienced. I don’t think this tour would have been the same without having him as our guide.

Couldn’t have asked for a better tour. Honestly didn’t want it to end. Henry was an amazing tour guide. He took us to the best coffee spots, amazing views of the volcanos, and incredible hiking through the rainforest. I’d ask in advance if he’s your guide, and if not, rebook lol.

Even though it was a long day but everything went well and smooth. The plane ride was on time and the pick up at the airport was good. The driver/guide (Mel) was very knowledgeable about the island and gave us a very thorough review and the history of the island. He is courteous, polite, and friendly. He gave us clear direction as where to go. The place where we stopped was excellent.
