My husband and I recently did a guided group tour here in our honeymoon and it was so much fun! We spotted many animals and wildlife like a sloth, lizards, snakes, colorful birds, and more. There was 22 bridges all together and 6 or 8 of them were the bigger hanging ones. You get amazing views of the volcano on a clear day. If you want to take photos when it’s not crowded I’d suggest going early around 7am.

We can not say enough amazing things about our experience with Alonso carvahal Hernandez who gave us our tour. He was excited and made the walk so much fun. Call ahead and book an appt with him. You can also find him on instagram or fb and message him. You won’t be sorry. And it was hundreds cheaper than the travel agent wanted to charge us. Do not miss your chance to experience this with or without your kids.

Booked trip for 8 family members. 3 days prior to trip I canceled two of the members. Well within the cancellation period. Got charged full amount for 8 not 6. Requested refund and they refuse. Claim no report of change.

Very beautiful forest, with animals that you can see from the trails with a little luck!

For disabled people: only a 45-minute visit is accessible, with a suspension bridge on all four.

A good park. Plenty of hanging bridges through the forest and views of the volcano but once again not lots of wildlife I think the guided tours are more informative if that's what you want. If travelling from nuevo arenal direction you will probably come across a pack of coatis just before you get to Mistico Park on the side of the road so my advice would be to take some cut up fruit to feed them they are very friendly.

A wonderful experience and closeness to nature. A wonderful walk through the treetops. I recommend taking a guide - he will show you animals, reptiles and insects hidden in the treetops. We were with three children aged 5, 6 and 9 and we felt completely safe. The route is well secured

If you come to La fortuna this is a MUST! I would recommend getting a guide as you will miss many animals which are right under your nose if you don’t!

The park is very well organized with the entire 5 km path well maintained with handrails and protection. The bridges are very interesting and challenging. The maintenance seems to be at its most secure when you cross it and they start to sway a lot.
We went with small children and chose not to go with a guide for greater freedom and speed, but as a result we ended up seeing few animals.
The forest itself is very beautiful and dense.
