Take a song-by-song stroll through Hamilton’s rise and eventual fall as New York’s foremost Founding Father. This tour is designed for folks who have already seen or plan to see the 11 Tony Award winning Broadway production or those just addicted to the cast album. The tour puts the songs, history and lower Manhattan locations into perspective. The tour matches up individual songs with their actual location, including some bonus stops that help illuminate the time and place that Alexander Hamilton lived and died in. Each guest receives a Personal Listening Device to insure you hear every word and note, no matter how noisy the city gets.

Really enjoyed the contrast between the historical life of Hamilton and what was chosen to portray in the musical. Also enjoyed the critique of the songs in the musical and what other music songwriters may have influenced them. Saw some interesting historical areas of lower Manhattan and learned many new facts about the city and US history. Highly recommend.

Leo was a knowledgeable and personable tour guide. He made our experience come alive. We learned a lot of history about Hamilton and his role in the revolution.

Leo was just fantastic, through and through. His passion for all things Hamilton / Washington / downtown NYC was palpable and infectious. I brought my 8-year-old, who has a burgeoning interest in American history, and Leo's presentation was incredible food for her intellectual curiosity. Leo brought the rich history of the neighborhood to life, mapping it against references in the Hamilton score (which he played for us on our earbud devices), lifting out hidden meanings, historical references, pointing out how Lin-Manuel Miranda borrowed from and honored other hip-hop artists and musical theater composers. He was thoughtful about balancing standing, walking and sitting time -- along with the need for restroom breaks -- making the 3-hour adventure fly by for my child and me. I only wish I'd taken his tour years ago, as it would've deepened my appreciation for both the musical and my hometown. Highly highly recommended for anyone interested in Hamilton the musical and/or the person, Washington, Jefferson, the American Revolution, downtown Manhattan, or any combination of the above. Thank you, Leo!!

Our tour guide, Chazz, gave us the most well-researched, multi-faceted, well-composed experience on a windy and rainy day spring day. It was the perfect complement to our watching the musical the next day. We were our Hamilton shirts and sang our way through the rain. We are huge Hamilfans, especially our son, and this was our treat for his 12th birthday. He told me, "Mama, you told me that the tour guide will 'drop some knowledge' 😉, but I didn't expect him to have so many cool facts. It blew my mind." Book this tour to find out how Biggie Smalls, Titanic, and Texas almost became part of England are all related!

The tour guide, Chaz was awesome. He was knowledgeable and led the experience well. He was super helpful to ensure we arrived to the correct location. He provided technology so we could hear him. He covered much more than Hamilton facts which for me took away from the experience.

What can I say other than "don't throw away your shot" too experience an amazing tour intertwining American history, on site locations and Hamilton music. This is a must do on your checklist when visiting Manhattan. Our guide Chaz was fantastic, fun, informative and a pretty good rapper 😁. Do yourself and your kids a favor and spend 3 hours in Downtown NYC and relive the stories of the founding fathers through the eyes of Lin Manuel Miranda!!!

Leo's is a captivating storyteller which is fortunate because you're going to learn a lot! I've done many great walking tours and this one of the, if not the, best. He has so much to share about the history of NYC, the country, obviously the life of Alexander Hamilton, and the musical itself. Leo keeps the many layers connected and personal so the stories feel alive.
The walking is fairly light and Leo looked after the group crossing busy streets, getting shelter from the weather, getting seats, and a restroom break.
