This tour set the tone for our trip to Lisbon. The tour guide, Al, was on time, friendly and did an excellent job of communicating the African presence in Lisbon. We learned so much! Make sure you have comfortable shoes and a battery back for your phone so you can take pictures and videos of all you will see and learn on this tour. Definitely recommending this tour to anyone I know planning to visit Lisbon.

Excellent. Learned a lot! The guide was well informed and open and prepared for the variety of questions from participants. It was at a good pace, taking into account the age and abilities of the group. He had to actively locate restrooms along the route and did so with compassion. He even paid for an Uber to get my husband and I closer to our next tour.

a lot of interesting sights however for a 3 hour tour not organized for restroom breaks we stopped randomly at a hotel which was not welcoming to us

We had a most enjoyable and informative tour with Al. The personalized tour is a must cultural tour we have had during our almost 2 week vacation in Portugal. I highly recommend it to all visitors to this wonderful country.

we went thru the cobblestone streets of the old city with him providing insightful historical facts and relevance about the africian influence ( Moors) and endelible footprint in Portugal .Great ability to ask questions and clarify discussion points along the way.He was accomodating to our nears for rest, bathroom or water keeping a pace appropriate for our group.This tour and Alcides specifically recommended from friends in the US and he did not disappoint.Go and experience this intimate much needed informative walking tour you will remember the details and your feelings well after your trip to lovely LISBOA!
