If you are interested in knowing how Dominicans really live, their customs, their culture, do not forget to take advantage of this great opportunity. Our transport will pick you up at your hotel, you will start a wonderful trip of approximately one hour until you reach Higüey, the first thing you will do is visit a coffee, cocoa and tobacco plantation, we will explain the process of their harvest and preparation. You will visit a beautiful souvenir shop, made by the owners themselves, later we will move to the cathedral basilica of Higüey, you can enter to enjoy its beautiful architecture. Then we will go to the Higüey market where you can see the local commerce among other things, you will have an incredible panoramic view of the church of San Dionisio, which was the place where the Virgen de la Altagracia made her appearance. Upon returning we will make a brief stop at the beautiful and incredible Macao beach to admire its white sands, at the end our transport will take you back to your hotel.

Highly recommend! We had a baby with us, so I was very particular about which tour I felt comfortable booking. This was perfect. We learned so much and had such a great experience all packed into one morning.

Edwin was our tour guide and we had an amazing time! We had our 1 year old son with us so this private tour was perfect as we could do it at our own pace. Edwin is not only an amazing guide, he's also great with the baby and even held him during some of the tour!! Highly recommend this for anyone that want a small group tour.
Honestly if you are staying in an all-inclusive resort anyways, the other tours that include lunch (and is more expensive) isn't really adding much value in my opinion.

Had an incredible tour in the Dominican Republic with Silverio! He was kind, generous, and made us feel safe throughout the entire experience. Silverio provided fascinating insights into Dominican culture and answered all of our questions. Plus, he took us to sample some authentic snacks, including delicious empanadas! We toured beautiful sites and was given a real local feel of the area.

My small group enjoyed this private tour. If you’re looking to learn more about the culture and how the locals live, this is the tour for you. Our driver was very friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, professional and timely.

First stop was a tourist trap gift shop in a private tour when we asked to take us to a good authentic store which they didn’t. We paid twice the prices in the place they took us as compared to prices of the same items in the airport. Then they claimed they have English speaking guides but our guide was just speaking from a script and not able to understand or answer anything if not in the script. Didn’t learn anything and overall what they showed in punta Cana just shows not much to see in punta Cana. Also day before the tour I asked whether they will pick up from the lobby, the tour operator saw the message in WhatsApp but did not answer and only in the morning 30 minutes before the tour said please come outside the resort as we cannot come to the lobby area ( they should have answered that the night before). Overall, not a very trustworthy tour operator and always looking for ways to sell you stuff from where they can earn commission.

We thoroughly enjoyed our half day tour of Dominican Republic with our guide Edwin. Edwin communicated well prior to our trip and was on time to pick us up. He explained the tour but was very flexible to our needs. We were able to stop at a school, tour the old church and buy some snacks, which was not on the original itinerary. He was very friendly, talkative, and very knowledgeable about the sights, history, and culture of the Dominican Republic. We really enjoyed talking to him about many cultural differences between our two countries. Our driver was excellent at dealing with the traffic and motorcycles that we encountered along the way. We would highly recommend this tour to other small groups. We appreciated that it was only our group of 5 on the tour, that there was flexibility and that it was personalized.

Edwin our driver and tour guide was exceptional! He was very knowledgeable about historical facts and presented in a pleasurable manner. The sites visited allowed us to see a very personal side of DR, especially the visit with the family!! We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone coming to Punta Cana!! Thanks Edwin!!
