We had a tour of Pompeii that we paid extra for a hotel pick up. The day before they said they wouldn't do hotel pick up despite the hotel being in the booking for two months. The return taxi was 80 euros. If they'd said any earlier I would have cancelled and booked with a different company. Tour itself was fine.

This was a very informative and cool tour of Pompeii. I think the length was just enough time as it was starting to get very hot even in early May. Our tour guide was great and she made the tour fun and humorous. We learned so many cool things. I do wish they had more castings of the bodies but understand why you only see a few on the tour. I am not a huge history fan Pompeii has always fascinated me. I am so glad that I got to see it in person and experience this tour. There are alot of uneven grounds so people with mobility issues be aware.

Glad we did not try to visit the sight on our own. Tour picked up from our hotel and dropped us at the departure point for the walking tour. We were in a large group and there was much walking over uneven ground. We had trouble keeping up with the group as there were so many tourists at the sight. Our guide was good but needed a high stick or umbrella so we could see which way to go.

It was a rainy day . Viator has always been on time and our guide was very knowledgeable. The group was a manageable number.

Visiting Pompeii is always an interesting thing. But with the accompaniment of a guide you always learn anecdotes and information that you cannot find in the brochures. Delighted with the visit to Pompeii.

The tour was great. From pickup at our hotel to drop off. Even with horribly rainy weather, our tour guide, Elisa, provided great info and was super nice.

Giving a 3 star as the journey there in a small van was kind of uncomfortable. The tour was also quite rushed as it was all under the same guide Elisa and there were different groups coming from other areas such as Naples and Salerno. Elisa however was a very knowledgeable tour guide with great storytelling skills who was able to bring alive the story of how Pompeii came to be buried under all that volcanic ash.

The driver was a little scary, but Elisa (sp?) was awesome. She made an interesting tour so much better with her knowledge and humor.
One of the top 2 tours ever taken in 20 years visiting Europe.
