The guide met us on time and escorted us to a private boat. She was really lovely and the reason for the two stars. However we did not enjoy the tour itself to the factory. Firstly we booked with the hope of seeing the glass blowing and were informed this was not possible. We spent a few minutes watching the glass makers producing chandeliers but that was it we were then shown to the gallery where you could buy products.
We were followed around like hawks and felt extremely uncomfortable. When we did purchase some goods we then discovered when returning to Venice that we had been extremely overcharged! All in all the factory visit was so disappointing.
Next we visited the island of Burano where we witnessed the making of the lace. This was truly fascinating. The people on this island are so much more welcoming and we enjoyed this part of the trip.

No fuss your. Your guide was on time. Your was well scheduled. Your guide was great at sharing history and interesting information whilst on boat. Murano tour consists of the glass factory only, felt a lot of time spent here and wasn’t great for those of us who couldn’t afford anything lol. Burano tour was good, quick but was able to get a feel for the place.

Since we only spent two nights in Venice, we wanted a half day tour to visit the nearby islands. We loved the glass making demonstration on Murano and wish we had more time learning about the process and exploring the island. Burano was very unique. We had more than enough time to enjoy the main part of town. We enjoyed having Nicole providing some history and commentary on the way to the islands.

We had a wonderful trip with Francesca! The islands were beautiful and we had time at our own pace at each place. This was a highlight on our vacation.

We enjoyed a beautiful sunny day to Murano and Burano. Perfect amount of time spent at both sites. Our guide Nicola was very knowledgeable and funny. She kept us all on track as to meeting and departure times. Much appreciated since we have been on various tours over the years where we have been kept waiting for guests who do not respect the time or the group.

Organized well and nice trip. Burano Island is small and a visual treat. Murano Island is about glass making factories and not much to explore other than walking along the canal and the glass shops. Nice relaxing trip.

This was my second time in Venice and this time decided to
Venture out to see what Murano and Butano had to offer. The tour took off without a glitch and right on time. Incredibly impressed by that - although that’s contingent on other tourists showing up on time.
We started off leaving Venice on a water taxi, which was fantastic. The views from the canals is definitely memorable especially if you don’t choose to do an overpriced gondola ride. We went to one glass producer in Murano. While we did enjoy the explanations in the workshop on how to make Murano glass, we were disappointed by the amount of time spend in the sales room. Perhaps we should have done another tour instead, but it would have been interesting to visit a couple of shops to compare. While the offering was varied, it was hard to believe that was all we had to choose from and were curious about what the smaller shops may have had to offer.
Once in Burano, we were in for a treat. Such a charming island. Had we known more perhaps we would have arranged for lunch and then return to Venice. Definitely the highlight of the experience. The tour guide had overall good knowledge of both places and gave good recommendations on restaurants on the way back, which was a bonus.
Overall it was an Ok experience, but if you’re able I would skip this tour and choose a whole day with the first half in Murano visiting various shops and glassmakers, lunch in Burano and then back to Venice.

Such a pleasant tour, to see both Murano (and the glass blowing) and Burano. I did not realize that the lace shop in Burano was the inspiration for the second episode of the Hallmark Wedding Veil trilogy. That made it more relevant for me!!
