You will be picked up from your hotel with a private English–Speaking Driver either in the morning or afternoon, depending on the time you chose for this activity. Proceed to your cooking class that offers lunch and dinner classes, located in the heart of Amman, where you will be introduced to the charming area. Enjoy the atmosphere as you cook authentic Arabic dishes. The cooking takes place in a special location, with starters, salads, appetizers, and main dish; making it a unique activity and an enjoyable experience. When the cooking is complete, relish your hand made meal in the dining area. You have the chance to enjoy local wine (at your own expense) with your own cooked food. Finish your meal with a cup of coffee, as is tradition in Jordanian houses to be served after you eat with local dessert or fruit of the season. After some rest time and your cooking class ends, you will be taken for a short panoramic tour in Amman and then return to your hotel by your own private vehicle.

Just a wonderful experience! The instructors were awesome and guided the class step by step! The classmates also contributed to making it a fun class.

I took the panoramic tour along with the cooking class. I have been to Amman many times and on the driving tour a learned even more about Amman. The driver (Raed) was flexible with what we saw and shared his personal family history in Amman. The cooking class was a lot of fun. The hosts were excellent and provide all of us the opportunity to interact and be part of preparing and cooking the meal. And the meal was amazing. They even let me take the leftovers as takeaway. I was glad that I did the tour and class.

The cooking class as wonderful! So kind helpful. The food was so good! It is a must event while visiting Amman. My driver was the best!

I had booked this several weeks ahead, and provided a credit card that I later canceled because of fraud on the account. I didn't remember that the charge for the cooking class had not put through already, and the first time I knew there was a problem was the day before class was scheduled when I got an email saying the reservation was cancelled. I quickly called the local tour operator to provide a different card to pay for the class and was told it was too late, that I had cancelled the class myself. Then they offered an alternate explanation: that my sister (whose name they had because Viator asked for it when I made the booking) had made a separate reservation (she had not) and that she had canceled the reservation (she had no communication with them at all). Given my quick response to their email, and the two different reasons they gave for the cancellation, I was suspicious when they told me I couldn't rebook because the class was full. My guess is they got a bigger group booking their space and could make more money off them, so they canceled us. I called Viator, and they responded promptly but were unable to solve the problem. We were not able to attend the cooking class, but weren't out any money.
Given some other complaints on TA about this local tour I thought I would alert people to the problem we had with it.

I booked this because I thought it was a half day cooking class. It was actually a one hour cooking demonstration, not a class. Basically a driver took me to the citadel and I had to pay to get into the citadel. Then the driver took me to the restaurant for the one hour cooking demonstration, then the driver took me back to my hotel. This experience was not as advertised.

Disappointing. Described as half day / 4 hours but in reality this was little more than 2 hours. Session got started late due to a photoshoot that was clearly over running. Participants were asked to help with the clearing up of previous session and setting up for our own session. Over the course of the session I chopped one chilli and crushed a clove of garlic. Hardly a cooking class. No recipes / methods provided. We were told these were available on the website but now I'm home and have checked this is not the case for many of the dishes offered that evening. The description states a dessert dish would be included in the lesson but this was not the case. Our hostess left us part way through the session to return to her family for the evening. We were left with a very charming Arabic lady who was very enthusiastic but had limited English. Essentially this was an expensive way to eat dinner without the added value of the described class. The transfer to and from was very efficient, comfortable and friendly. Overall though not value for money or a credible experience which was a real pity.

This is a great experience. We so enjoyed learning about Jordanian foods and spices. And our hostess showed us great techniques as well. It would have been helpful to know the name of the location, Beit Sitti, prior to the experience as they have a great website with recipes and explanation. All spices are for sale as well. Wine, however, with your meal is an additional fee. This was not fully explained.
