Booked and confirmed with the operator. Even at 9pm the day before I checked with him (Alvin). He said we should be ready to leave at 7am so we were ready to go in the lobby at 6.55am. We waited, and waited. I tried to message him via the app. No response at all. At 8.05am he canceled the booking and that was that. I can only assume there were not many people who had booked on that tour for that day, so it was not worth his time to take us? It was New Year’s Eve, so that could have been a factor in his decision to cancel, but we were very disappointed.

This tour was awesome. We got to Learn about Dominican Republic, visited punta Cana and Higuey. The tour guide Alvin was nice and available to answer our questions. We also visit ed the higuey market and the Macao beach. It is was a great experience.

Our guide Alvin had an enthusiastic and positive attitude throughout the trip that made things so much fun! The highlight of the trip for us was eating lunch in a mountain near a beautiful waterfall. The meal was the best meal we had on our whole trip! We really enjoyed all the other aspects of the trip as well, especially the cigar factory, horseback riding, and trip to the typical Dominican house.
The only negative thing was that the trip was a full day instead of the advertised half day (we were picked up at 7 AM and got back to the resort at 4 PM), but it was worth it to do all of the amazing activities.
Alvin made the whole experience a lot of fun, even with some bad weather, and we had a great driver who expertly navigated the busy Higuey streets. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants an authentic Dominican cultural experience. Thanks again to Alvin!!

Alvin was great! We had a fun time on this experience. Rode horses, visited the church and even got to buy some local fruit. I highly recommend this experience. Definitely worth it. Alvin was a wonderful driver and tour guide. We booked a private tour and so we made our own stops and were able to skip one of the stops that didn't interest us as well. Alvin was helpful, patient and well informed. Would recommend him to anyone.
