Enjoy a half-day day journey down the beautiful Colorado River. TLDR: I had a great 7 hours (not half a day!), should have packed a lunch and the wind blowing on the way back from the "cave" made Kayaking exhausting.
Pros:
- Nice guide,
- good transport,
- great communication leading up to the tour,
- great equipment.
Cons:
- The information on Viator states the tour is 3 hours, but the whole tour is about 7 hours. Kayaking is 3 hours. Hotel pickup is at 08:45 and then drop off at 4:30pm.
- Although you're with the guide and the group for about 7 hours, the guide never introduces you to the people already in the van. It means that the van ride can be super awkward unless you're the type of person who just introduces yourself to others. These small things make a huge difference!
- The cave is not impressive, it's more like a small rock cavity. Don't go on this tour expecting some huge cave. We also had to wait for about 30 minutes to get into it while other groups went in (image of the queue).
- It says that snacks are provided but it's tiny packs of Oreos, sweet biscuits or tiny packs of crisps - make sure to pack your own lunch or buy the mediocre and expensive sandwich from the Hoover Dam Lodge (the stop to sign paperwork). That's also the only place to get souvenirs for the Kayaking specifically.
- We didn't get much technical instructions before climbing into the kayak. I got more from listening to the other guides from other companies around us to get tips on turning, preventing water from getting into the kayak from your padel and what to do if you fall in. Watch a YouTube before you get in for a refresher.
- It's better to go in pairs if you're not very fit. I went as a solo kayaker and trying to go against the wind is hard work.
All in all it's a great day but I think the listing needs to be updated with specifics and more photos.

I was so pleased we booked this! We wanted to get out of Vegas for the day but the Grand Canyon is so far away that it seems like an exhausting day. We found Blazin Paddles and it fit the bill perfectly.
We were picked up at Paris by Seth. The transport was good and precisely on time. The transfer went quickly and the process was slick. Before you know it we were on the water.
The views were amazing and we loved the paddle. Seth was a great guide and really informative.
We finished the day with a quick beer.

Our bachelorette group had an awesome time! The kayaking wasn't strenuous and was done at a liesurely pace. Our guide was knowledgable and engaged with (tolerated :) ) our large group joking around with him. Snacks and water provided were appreciated. Would recommend as a fun outdoorsy day trip that's only about an hour drive outside of Vegas.

It was so nice having a shuttle driver and having the same person be the guide as well. We felt like we made a connection with her right away and that made the whole day more enjoyable

Did a tour with Andrew. He's was awesome. The experience was amazing. Show alot of tge great hot spots to see including some hot springs, caves and waterfalls.

Had a great day on the water with our guides Jeff. The weather was perfect and the surrounding was beautiful. Jeff was really good at telling us about the area and some cool stories too!

Experience was amazing from the word “Go”. From the pick up our guide Seth was so nice, fun and informative. Seth took great care to explain everything and made sure we had a lot of fun throughout. To the very end when Seth dropped us off at our pick up spot at the end of day, my wife and I loved the experience. Will definitely recommend to any first timers or experienced Kayakers!

We had a great time out on the lake with our guide, Jamaica. We were able to paddle into the Emerald cave with only about a 10 minute wait. My daughter and husband were able to use a tandem kayak. The kayaks have rudders which help with steering.
