My recent hiking adventure was nothing short of magical. Under the guidance of Reid, who was not just a tour guide but a truly exceptional hiking companion, the experience was elevated to extraordinary heights. His knowledge and enthusiasm for the trail brought the journey alive in a way I couldn’t have imagined. The landscape, adorned with a pristine blanket of snow, transformed the setting into a winter wonderland, reminiscent of the rugged beauty of Alaska. This added an exhilarating ‘pop’ to the entire experience. The tranquility of the snow-covered path, combined with Reid’s engaging storytelling, created an ambiance that was both serene and invigorating. This hike wasn’t just a walk through nature; it was a memorable journey that left a lasting imprint on my heart.

The hike was beautiful (even in the rain!), and as a bonus the guide knew all sorts of cool facts and history of the area! My girlfriend was a little worried about the bears, but the guide had bear spray and with the group we all felt well-protected and perfectly comfortable. Overall a Great excursion!!

We really enjoyed our hike with Reid. It was just our family and he knew a lot of history of the area and showed us multiple berries and flowers on the trail. We hiked about 75 minutes then had a snack before hiking back. Totally recommend this hike excursion in Sitka.

Reid is our guide - he gives a very interactive and informative tour. His passion for learning about his tour companions and sharing his knowledge about Tongass National Forest are both outstanding. We both really enjoyed meeting Reid and it was a thrill to venture through Sitka and the rainforest with him. Oh, and the bears, - we felt totally safe with Reid protecting us.

Coming off the cruise ship (after a two day long journey), my friends and I craved fresh air and nature, something rejuvenating. This walking tour in the Tongass amongst the hemlock and cedar, was just the space and respite our spirits needed. Our friendly guide Reid shared his knowledge and appreciation of Sitka history, topography, and native culture with us, and his natural ease made the learning a delightful experience. We walked a comfortable pace on paved paths, spotting bald eagles and sampling wild berries along the way. If you want to marvel or meditate in Sitka’s natural wonders, this is the way to go. With only 6 of us on this two-hour tour, the group felt relaxed and intimate. We all felt inspired and rejuvenated!

Beautiful city and wonderful tour guide! Reid (the guide) provided an excellent experience and was a fun and knowledgeable way to see SE Alaska's beautiful environment. I'd recommend this for anyone who is visiting Sitka including cruise ship passengers. If you're there in season, try the salmonberries right off the bush if you find them along the trail. And ask the guide lots of questions! Thanks Reid!!
