Admire iconic monuments including the Maiden's Tower, originally built in 1110 on a tiny islet in the Bosphorus strait and shrouded by myths and legends; the Bosphorus Bridge, which connects the European and Asian sides of the city; and the majestic Baroque-style Ortakoy Mosque located on the waterside.

To complete your experience of Istanbul at night, you'll also be served traditional refreshments during your cruise. Enjoy a cup of sweet, chilled sharbat, a typical Middle Eastern drink made of fruit or flower petals, accompanied by Turkish canapés.

1. Dolmabahce Palace
During the Ottoman period, naval captains would anchor their fleet here; traditional naval ceremonies were held in this natural harbor. Beginning of the 17th century by gradual filling the site became one of the royal gardens along the Bosphorus, thus the name "Dolmabahce," which means filled garden was invented or accepted.
2. Bosphorus Bridge
The Bosphorus Bridge, known officially as the 15 July Martyrs Bridge and unofficially as the First Bridge, is one of the three suspension bridges spanning the Bosphorus strait in Istanbul, Turkey, thus connecting Europe and Asia. The bridge extends between Ortaköy and Beylerbeyi.
3. Rumeli Fortress
The Castle at Rumeli The Rumeli Castle, or Fortress, on a 30000 square meter of land on the European side. It is directly across the Anatolian Castle of the Bosphorus. Rumeli Hisari At this point the Bosphorus is at its narrowest (600 meters) location. The castle was constructed to resemble from a distance the ancient letters spelling out Mohammed's name. The three large towers of the castle, the largest in the world was completed in 139 days. The castle has had many names over the years: "Kulle-i Cedide," "Yenice Castle," "The Castle that Cut the Bosphorus." The construction of the castle began on April 15, 1452. Beylerbeyi Palace Since Byzantine times, Beylerbeyi and its vicinity has been a settled area. According to the famous Swiss traveler Inciciyan, Constantine the Great erected a cross there, and the area was called the "Crucifix Gardens" in Byzantine times.
6. Kucuksu Pavilion
Kucuksu Summer Palace Called the "Garden of Lamps" in Ottoman times, the royal garden at Kucuksu was much loved by Murat IV (1623-1640), who called it the "Silver Cypress." Beginning in the 17th century, particularly in the beginning of the 18th century, there was a great deal of construction here.
7. KIz Kulesi
Maiden Tower The building of this tower dates as far back as the year 341 B.C. At the time, the headland on which the tower stands, called "Vus," was at the mouth of the Bosphorus (It was rumored to have once been a peninsula).
8. Galata Koprusu
The Galata Bridge is a bridge that spans the Golden Horn in Istanbul, Turkey. From the end of the 19th century in particular, the bridge has featured in Turkish literature, theater, poetry and novels
9. Galata Tower
Galata Tower The Galata Tower was constructed in 1384 on the highest point of the ramparts surrounding the Genoese colony, known as Galata. In the early times of the Ottomans, the tower was used by the Janissary corps.

I did not expect to do a boat trip, but I am so. glad I did. The was small, compared to the other ships on the Strait, and the group a friendly mix of Europeans and Americans. The guide was knowledgeable and equally friendly along with the crew. Tasty appetizers were served as the trip proceeded, putting just the right finish. The sunset a d City lights, especially on the bridges, made fir many perfect photographs. Definitely, I recommend this cruise.

The whole experience from the food, to the views, to the guide was excellent. I cannot recommend this experience enough if you are passing by Istanbul. You will be able to see both European and Asian side from front row in the Bosphorus.

It was a more than awesome on the boat. The staff was very friendly and informative. They served drinks and fruit. And the tour itself was amazing. One passes past all the sights on the European as well as the Asian side while sitting in the sun enjoying the beautiful mosques and palaces. The trip is absolutely worthwhile!
