Interesting trip to a chocolate factory, a cheese factory and to the mediaeval city of Gruyere. Good way to spend a rainy day in Switzerland.

We had an amazing day with Roger, our guide and driver. Gruyère is a picturesque and quaint village , the chocolate tour is a lot of fun and lots of complimentary chocolate.

This is a must do tour! Roger, our tour guide, was so fun and informative on the ride and kept us all involved the whole time. The chocolate and cheese were delicious but the castle town of gruyeres has to be seen to be believed. Thank you!

“Roger” was a terrific guide. His stories-“Ladies and Gentlemen” - enriched the experience. The multi media history of chocolate experience at Maison Calliers was fabulous. Totally engaging and well paced. The medieval town of Gruyere is charming and a good place to scratch that fondue itch. The HR Giger bar is a trip. The surrounding countryside experienced along the way is lovely.

Another magnificent place in Switzerland.
in summer it is better to come around 9 a.m. because the car parks fill up quickly and further away you will have to walk and this allows you to visit with fewer people and fewer queues! This little village is magnificent and everything is to visit, you can't miss anything because there is a main street.

Great trip! "Roger" was very informative and funny, too!( I loved his St. Bernard stuffed animal, Trudy!) The chocolate factory was fun. The cheese tour was a little boring, but I still enjoyed it. And the castle was amazing too. There is some walking uphill at the medieval area so FYI.

Our tour guide, Normands, was wonderful. The chocolate tour was better than the cheese tour, be prepared to eat a lot of chocolate (unless you have amazing will power). I enjoyed the small village of Gruyeres the best. We had a delightful lunch and did some souvenir shopping. Overall, it was a pleasant day.

Roger our guide was great. I do think you need to let people know that you share the tour with other people who have chosen more activities and you can wait around while taking and picking them up vs coming home right after visiting Gruyeres. I’m sure it’s efficient for the company but it extends the trip for certain people that chose not to do those things in the first place.
