Our cooking class will make the authentic Greek Moussaka dish and Spanakopita pie by opening your phyllo pastry (Spinach pie).
We will make two classic traditional pies: Spinach pie and Milk pie. In addition to making homemade pies, we will prepare Greek island-inspired salad with cherry tomatoes aromatized with aged local vinegar and Greek yogurt tzatziki sauce.
Our kitchen is a few steps from Monastiraki square in the funky neighborhood of Psirri. I'll wait for you there, on the rooftop terrace with Acropolis views.
We'll start preparations and chat to break the ice and talk about Greek and Mediterranean cuisine; then, I'll show you the ingredients we'll need.
Then the cooking class can begin!
When we are finished, we will cook, eat, and savor our food together with amazing views of the Acropolis monuments and Parthenon temple lit at night and the vivid center of Athens overlooking the dome of Aghios Dimitrios church.
We don't have a gluten-free option.

It was a terrific experience. The chef was incredibly personable and knowledgeable, sharing stories and information about more than just the excellent food. The kitchen was beautiful and well prepared. We’ll be recreating the meal at home for family tomorrow!

Wow this cooking class was amazing. A highlight of our visit to Athens where we learnt about & made traditional Greek food. Stam the Chef shared his expertise and guided us in making the dishes. He was enthusiastic, entertaining, energetic and a great teacher. It was a great experience.
We highly recommend this class and thoroughly enjoyed the dinner on the roof top after where we ate our culinary delight which we had made.

Such a fun class with a lot of information about Greek cooking. Everybody was able to get involved and the food was amazing. Can't wait to try the recipes for family and friends back home!

We had a fantastic time. The Chef put all or us to work, making our entire meal as well as describing the ingredients that went into the meal and what region of Greece they came from. Would recommend this to anyone who wants to have fun and enjoy fellow travelers company.

Experience was awesome from start to finish. Stam our culinary guide was engaging the entire time. He took time to share the cultural relevance to the dishes we created which made the experience so much more meaning. Come hungry because you will be preparing so much food.
Highly recommend for anyone who loves to cook and even those who don’t spend much time in kitchen. Wonderful evening in Athens

This cooking class was so much fun and super informative! Stam was not only knowledgeable on Greek dishes but also the history of the food and Greece in general. He gave recommendations to those of us traveling to the islands on restaurants and wineries and cool places in Athens. 10/10!

Stam was an exceptional instructor. He is engaging and provided not only instructions but historical information on how the dishes originated and an insight into their historical significance. He covered all of the ingredients in detail and shared his culinary secrets. He has the ability to make all feel confident whatever their kitchen skills may be. Proof was in the pudding when we sat down as a group to enjoy the fruits of our labours afterwards. Certainly an opportunity that shouldn’t be missed!
