The guides choose from 12 exclusive moorings at six reef locations based on weather conditions and water clarity, to ensure the best experience for all activities. Generally, the tour goes to one of the true Outer Great Barrier Reef locations in the morning (Norman Reef or Saxon Reef) then heads to North Hastings Reef in the afternoon for the helicopter flights and glass bottom boat tour. As you return to the mainland after a full day in paradise, snack on a cheese and tropical fruit platter while members of your talented crew provide live music and entertainment — a fun and memorable end to an amazing day!

• Suitable for all physical fitness levels
• Check-in is from 7.15am at Reef Fleet Terminal, 1 Spence Street, Cairns. Please make your way to the Down Under Cruise and Dive counter to check-in. Boat departs 8.00am sharp.
• All divers are required to complete a Medical Questionnaire. In a commitment to the safety of our guests, divers over 65 years must have a medical clearance with a physician the confirms they are Fit To Dive. Please be aware that certain medical conditions (e.g. asthma, heart disease, diabetes) and ANY prescription medications will require a letter or email from a doctor clearing you to dive. This clearance must state your full name, the doctor's name and practice and the clearance to dive for the specific medications/condition. Please review the operators Medical Questionnaire and Terms & Conditions prior to travel.
• Children aged and under 12 years (introductory) and 10 years (certified divers) are not permitted to participate in onboard diving activities as per Queensland Australian Law.
• Children under the age of 18 must be in the immediate company of a parent or legal guardian.
• For Certified Diving, evidence of dive certification is required from all divers wishing to participate in a certified dive.
• Diving within 24 hours before your flight is not permitted.
• Due to comfort, weight and balance of the aircraft, the weight limit for helicopters is 130kg. Please contact the supplier directly for further information.
• Special dietary requirements must be confirmed at least 24 hours prior to travel directly with the tour operator. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free options are available.
• If you chose a package with a dive, this includes 1 pre-booked dive only (note: dives are not included with snorkel-only packages). Additional dives can be purchased onboard on the day or direct with the operator prior to travel.

We have a great day at the Reef and we have great weather on the day. The whole day was very well organised and the team very helpful and friendly. The water was vey clear with great visibility for snorkeling. The lunch was very good with GF options.

Enjoyed the boat ride , the way the staff look after you , the food was amazing . The water was unfortunately a bit rough that day and the snorkelling experience not great , very choppy and hard to get out of the water . Apart from that all was good and the day turned out ok

We had an amazing time with Down Under Cruise and Dive visiting the Great Barrier Reef. The staff were all super friendly and knowledgable; the entire trip felt extremely safe. The snorkelling was an unreal experience and we spent about 1 hour under water at each site. The lunch service was great and the whole day was so much fun.

This was by far one of the best tours I have ever been on in any country. I can’t stress how thoroughly organized and helpful that the staff was. I felt safe the entire time and felt informed every leg of the trip. This tour group made my first experience to the Reef a memorable one. Don’t hesitate to book this tour! I tend to overly analyze tour options because I want to ensure I get the best experience possible. I am very pleased with my choice here. It will be a lock for a tremendous time at the reef! My buddy and I were terribly sad when the tour ended. Also, the food was excellent for lunch! Too Notch tour! Thanks for an excellent time!

Cruise was so well organised. Food good, staff good, helicopter ride back to cairns great however one thing that needs to change is we couldn’t get our photos as you can only get them on the return boat ride. I asked could they be watermarked with an access code to view and order but no. So we paid for us both to have a great day out and no underwater or photos that aren’t selfies.

Ps reed and fish were amazing.

Get ready for a full day of snorkeling and amazement. There were times where it did get a lil crowded in the water since there were 150 of us but the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and entertaining. I did the heli flight too and pretty cool for being a first time flyer.

Partner and I went on our first Great Barrier Reef trip yesterday. Not only was the weather beautiful, but the staff were excellent. Ben was a great skipper who shared knowledge on the reef. Worth every penny! Thanks for having us!
