This was a great day in perfect (but hot) weather. We could not take the train because it was closed after the flooding so we went by coach (and we got a partial refund). Everything was very well organized. Rainforestation was very interesting. We especially liked the small wildlife area and the duck boats. The aboriginal area was OK; the Australian buffet was m'eh. Kuranda was interesting, too. The butterfly house was amazing (albeit hot and humid). Walking around Kuranda was fun: a very Aussie-looking village with lots of funky shops. But the best was the Skyway. That was a wow! Imagine a 360 view of nothing but rainforest. Very quiet except for the hum of the cables and an occasional bird. Barron Falls was awesome, too. We thought this was a great way to get a taste of the tropical rain forest in Queensland.

Thank you to Tropic Wings for its wonderful advance communication to understand the fun and valuable day, choose a pick up point, and arrange lunch to avoid food allergies. The day was efficiently organized and packed in apparently every available activity that was stunning, fun, historical and important to the Kuranda, Rain Forest Station and Pamaraggi tribe. The description was perfectly accurate. During our day we received two sheets. One had a history of Kuranda RR with a map of the route and key views. Another timelined our Kuranda/Rain Forest Station activities with a map on its opposite side to move from each activity. The historic train was clean, comfortable and had very nice passengers. Lunch was tasty. The army duck trip into the river and rainforest floor was fun and informative. And it was an honor to observe the Pamaraggi tribe culture. We got a kick out the kangaroos that roamed the sanctuary to visit and observe other animals. And, we saw the powerful dingos crunch on raw meat, bone and all. The pleasant Sky Cable offered a lovely of the rivers and rainforest canopy. Return was on-time. While this was not a small group tour, it actually felt like one. We got to know people and even had evening happy hour together. I highly recommend this amazing and well-coordinated day with Tropic Wings.

The trip was canceled due to the weather. I rebooked and it got canceled again. Still awaiting my money back from the second booking

Views were breathtaking. There were couple breaks in between to switch the skysails and area to walk and take the views in, which was mind-blowing. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed the ride and the views. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Cairns.

A real treat from Apartment pick-up to drop-off after actiom-packed day! Private taxi to Cable car and 7 km cable railway over the rainforest; guided round rainforest (including duck tour), walk through butterfly sanctuary and Australian mammals park, introduction to Aboriginal customs and skills, and narrow-gauge train home on impossible mountain-clinging railway! A day of new experiences and happy memories - and all thinking/planning done for you!

This was a fantastic experience, highly recommended. Well organised, thoroughly enjoyed the whole day and cannot fault it on any level.
You start off on the train up to Kuranda, spend the day there with plenty of things to do, then they bring you back on the cable car. Everybody is really friendly and pleasant - a memorable experience.

Great tour. Wish the guide had stayed with us all day as with other tours but it turned out ok. BBQ lunch was nice.

We loved the skyrail and the aboriginal dance and demonstrations. It was a joy to see the children dance too. Mango smoothies were delicious. Yoy can purchase in town.
