The guide was Ana and she seems to know everyone in Athens! And all about every possible food item. We had fresh hand made Greek donuts in honey; coffee brewed on hot sand; olive oils from different places; mezzo platters; and on. Don’t tell anyone but a really large amount of food and also some wine. I did the 2 pm tour and it completely filled the afternoon and me we ended with more recommendations of where to go eat. We walked through the markets of spices, meats, fish, veg, and saw some street art . A great excursion in an interesting area in Athens and a great sampling of what Greek food has to offer.

This was an excellent tour. The highlight for me was the wine tasting and the sampling of olive oils. The tour guide, Irini, was very knowledgeable and great company.

Irena provided a fantastic sample of the best tastes of the city as well as an experience of the culture. It felt like we were being shown around by a new friend, as opposed to by a guide; and by the end it felt like we were having a bite and chatting with a bunch of friends, rather than with a group of fellow tourists. Would recommend this tour as a perfect introduction to the food and culture of Athens.

All of our tour was enjoyable. 1st stop we watched as savory bourekia Me Kima a minced meat roll in puff pastry was made fascinating and ate spanokopita and a sweet cream filled pastry, had Greek coffee heated by sand at Mokka, had meze and some delightful Ozzo at a quaint little restaurant and delicious Greek vinegar, oil and wine tasting at the boutique hotel ‘Artist’ and ended with a traditional souvlaki sandwich

This was a great first exposure to Athens. It gave me a good feel for the local fair. Our tour guide was helpful and knowledgable. The food we were shows was excellent. I would not have been able to find some of these things on my own.
