An easy and short tour to Goðafoss, also known as the water of the gods.
It played a role in the christening of Iceland. We will drive to the waterfall, spend some time there, and then head back to Akureyri.
We will be going through a tunnel opened in 2018 where various challenges had to be tackled to finish it.
We will pass through the Fnjóskadalur valley, which has Iceland's second largest forest in it as well as having been a glacier lagoon back in the ice age.
We will pass the lake Ljósavatn on the way and hear a little about why the Goðafoss waterfall got its name.
