Go City: Miami Explorer Pass - Choose 2, 3, 4 or 5 Attractions

The Explorer pass is recommended if you know which excursions you would like to do. Stubborn as I am, I also checked what the member excursions cost, but the Go City turned out to be much cheaper. It is worthwhile to purchase the pass directly from Go City when the euro is more favorable compared to the dollar. Using the pass was very easy. To be sure, I had made print screens of the QR codes in advance.

The tours themselves are fantastic, however the information provided to Viator and provided on the go city app really needs to be updated. We ALMOST missed our night tour because of lack of clear instructions and information. The instructions on where to go to meet for several of the tours on this pass are not very clear and fail to tell you that if the actual tour itself is sold out from the provider they work with, you are out of luck for that date/time. I would have been much happier if this information had been clearer and had we not had to ask several people at Bayside market on where to find two different providers of these tours we wanted to do (due to lack of clear instructions)

Again, the tours once we were on them were fantastic. This is more based on the lack of information and the fact we ALMOST were unable to do one of the bus tours because we booked through Gocity and not the vendor direct. This was not my first time using any kind of a pass like this but this was definitely lacking information it should have.

Definitely worth it if you are planning on spending time in Miami and want to do a bunch of activities. It does require some planning, so make sure you figure out your time and what you actually want to do. Not all the attractions are actually in Miami, but range from Orlando down to Key West, which is, in my opinion, is a bit dishonest, so plan accordingly. We purchased the 4 attraction pass, but due to inclement weather, couldn't do all we planned, and thus went for secondary alternatives. Still worth it.

I purchased a Go City five attraction sightseeing pass through Viator and am unlikely to consider using either company again.

Firstly, I had to chase Viator for the relevant details so I could upload my pass to the Go City app.

Secondly, the pass automatically scanned three other attractions when redeeming one tour, despite not going to them or having the pass physically scanned by them. This meant that when I later tried to use it to gain entry to an attraction that was included in my pass, it was showing as expired and would not work. As a result, I had to pay to enter an attraction that should have been free on my pass. A long hold on an international call to Go City advised that it had been used five times, but it had not and they advised me to call back later! Using the chat function I managed to eventually get someone to understand my issue, and after a couple of hours, I had a call back to explain that the other attractions are automatically scanned when the tour is activated. Really?! I explained that I had not been to them and they credited three passes back to me. By now it was too late, as I had already paid to enter an attraction, and so was out of pocket due to the error with the pass.

There is no functionality on the GC app to see what attractions have been visited, or how many are remaining, which would be useful.

Finally, on returning home and contacting Go City to request reimbursement for the entry fee, I was told to contact Viator as I purchased the pass through them. On speaking to Viator, it took several attempts to explain my issue, and their final word was it’s not their problem, and I had to contact GetYourGuide as I purchased the pass from them and they will know how much I paid!! I replied that I had never had any dealings with GetYourGuide, reiterated my Viator order numbers and emailed a copy of my entry fee receipt, and they have not responded.

In summary, very poor customer service and a lack of interest in trying to resolve my issues, resulting in me being out of pocket. This is a shame, as in principle, the passes are a good idea and in theory, should save you money.

In the unlikely event that someone from either company is prepared to look at my case again, I would be happy to provide further details.

We selected the Miami Seaquarium, Hop-on Hop-off bus and Duck Tour in two days and enjoyed our visits a lot.

Both the Conch Tour and the Truman White House were great experiences! They were both very informative and a lot of fun. The only thing between the two was that the Conch Tour had trouble at first scanning the Explorer Pass, while the Truman White House was more straightforward.

very easy to use. It's very convenient for us as we stayed at Miami beach. It's walking distance to Hop on hop off and big bus tour, also the duck tour. You need a car to go to elevator farm.

We used this ticket to access 3 attractions. We had no issues with it. It was well accepted and is affordable
