This was a great tour. David and Adam did a fantastic job of driving us to each location and sharing interesting sites from both Harry Potter and Scottish history, and also included multiple extra stops to let us see the highlights of the Highlands.

We really enjoyed this day trip out to the Scottish Highlands. We didn’t expect the snow in January to make everything even more beautiful! It was a great option for us since we weren’t spending a lot of time in Scotland but still wanted to see the country. We were surprised to see so many Harry Potter landmarks, besides the train path.

Robert was an extremely interesting storyteller and we loved his commentary. Adam, the driver, maneuvered us safely and as smoothly as possible throughout the journey.

Still, if you suffer at all with motion sickness the roads are very, very windy, so please take medication beforehand!

Scenic spots 6/10
Travel time 5/10 (6-7 out of 12 hours)
Bus quality 8/10 - decent AC coach.
Driver 10/10 (Brian*)

“If” you have decided to visit these spots, timber bush tours are perfect.

Personally we felt there wasn’t that much to discover on this route.

*The highlight of our day was actually the bus driver Brian. Super friendly, super funny. His commentary felt like stand up comedy- like the Norsemen, Daniel Sloss kind. Brian never stops talking, never stops making you laugh.

Brian if you read this- please do consider signing up for stand up comedy as well :))

It was an amazing trip with Timberbush! Was a very comfortable bus, great driver and guide Mr. Martin. We travelled on December 14th to Glencoe, Fort William and Glenfinnan. The enthusiasm, storytelling and humour of Martin is fabulous. Brownie points for his playlist as well! The vibes he brings to the bus is priceless. He was very punctual, watchful, polite and helpful. Inspite of limited daylight at this time of the year he made sure we could see the maximum with adequate breaks with lots of local delicacies and recommendations. His narration of the rise of Jacobites, the McDonald clan and various war stories including Robert Bruce’s was so captivating. Glenfinnan was my personal favourite. Regret not having talked to Martin in person and gotten a photo, there is always a next time! Cheers and highly recommend this day tour!!

Great tour, great highlands views.
- Tour is approx 12 hours long, return time depends on traffic.
- You get to see some really great views and visit some small towns
- Given the length of the travel, you get about 1 hour in major stops
- Weather can be a factor to some views
- Connor was a really good guide. He was insightful, funny and respectful. Also was a perfect balance for me in the amount of talk.
- You do spend a lot of time in the bus but it's the nature of the tour given where you're headed.
- If you travel in winter, you don't get to see the HP train pass.

David was an absolutely phenomenal guide! So authentic and knowledgeable! He took wonderful care of us when both my husband and I got sick and had made sure to stay in touch with us even after our tour. David and Adam took us to some amazing places and told amazing stories that really helped paint the picture of what Scotland was like all those hundreds of years ago. Would absolutely recommend and come back!

This is our second day to do highland tours just to see the Glenfinnan Viaduct and I can't help but feel sad for my fellow travellers as we felt that we were shortchanged with the experience. It is undeniable that the sceneries are WONDERFUL but we can barely understand our guide and he doesn't give much information as compare to the one we had yesterday. He would just mumble few information and would stop there, no more in-depth discussion. We were being brought to fancy cafeterias and souvenir shops and cant support much of the local communities.

We were given an hour in Glenfinnan considering the hike you have to do for the best views and was so surprised that he allocated 45 mins in Pitlochry when its already pitch dark and there is nothing to see. We just need to pee. This could have been reallocated to Glenfinnan and/or Glencoe stop.

Can't even remember the name of the guide coz he doesn't really connect with his guests.

Again, will not deny that the views are a champ but services wise, it could be better.
