The tour begins with an introduction to Dublin City, as we head south towards County Wicklow, known affectionately as the "Garden of Ireland".

Beautiful lakes, dense forests and romantic brooks make this a wonderful scenic drive and a fine day out from the big city.

See the scenery made famous by films such as Braveheart and P.S. I Love You. We make our way over the Wicklow mountains to Glendalough (minimum 1,5 hrs stop) - the valley of the two lakes.

Enjoy a relaxing walk to the Upper Lake and explore the monastic ruins of St Kevin's monastery including its round towers, Celtic crosses and much more.

If you are trying to make the most of your time here, this is a great tour! We flew it, got settled, and went to the pick up location. There were two buses for different tours, so just make sure you get on the right one! But the driver was really nice! We didn’t really get to see the upper lake because we didn’t realize how far it actually was and we got caught up taking photos and having coffee and ice cream which was all great! We reached the edge of the lake but had to turn back so we didn’t miss the bus back lol! The bus ride was a bit hot, the air was on but it was warm. To be fair none of us asked the driver to make it cooler either. Don’t be like us, speak up! We learned on later trips the drivers are completely ok with you asking! It was my first day here (May 10th) so I can’t recall the drivers name, but he too was definitely really cool!

We are spending a week based in Dublin and we wanted to get out of the city to see more of Ireland—but not necessarily the super touristy stuff. We also didn’t want to spend 12+ hours on a bus. The half day tour was PERFECT. A beautiful drive down to the area and plenty of time to explore and take in the area. While it rained when we went (I mean, it’s Ireland…), it was awesome to still explore. Highly recommend!

Both the bus ride through beautiful country and the two hours we had to walk in Glendalough were great, and Eduardo gave lots of interesting background and history of the area. He was very friendly, had a great sense of humor, and even arranged a rain-free afternoon for us. Thank you!

Nice afternoon out. The guide mainly just drives you there and back. It’s a pretty area. However, there are better day trips from Dublin such as Cliffs of Moher and Killarney. If you have extra time then this tour is worth doing. Eduardo our guide was very friendly and fun.

Great trip. Driver was informative and interesting to listen to. I appreciated that he asked people not to talk while he was talking so that we could hear.

If you’re like us and couldn’t make it to Western Ireland but still wanted to see some beautiful scenery and get some steps in, this was a perfect trip. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and the mountains were gorgeous! Would definitely recommend.

Paddytours did not pick us up (a group of 4 people with a pre-booked tour (along with another group of 8 or 9 people) at the appointed point (Molly Malone Statue). We were at the place of the pick-up 20 min earlier, waited for a bus or guide to show up, and when nothing happened, called the company to inquire if the bus was late. We were told that the bus had already left and we were blamed for not being at the spot, which was totally untrue and extremely disappointing. Instead of the refund, we were offered the possibility of rebooking the tour for another day, but we had to leave on the next day. Very unpleasant experience!
