A wonderful private tour service. Philippe is extremely knowledgeable and adds so much to the day by sharing all of his insights. We learned so much about Monet and Giverny on our tour. It was a pleasure to spend the day with Phillipe and we highly recommend Best of France Tours. I look forward to booking another tour with Philippe when I return to Paris.

I combed through aviator for a half day trip to Giverny that would pick us up at our hotel. We hired Best of France tours to take us, two 66 and two 69 year olds. Frederic Meunier picked us up on time. He entertained and educated us all the way to Giverny. He guided us quickly to Monet’s house as the line was comparatively short. Guides are not allowed in with the groups so he to,d us what to look for. We met back up with him . We toured the gardens while he told us about the. The gardens themselves are stunning as are the water lilys.
We felt Frederic was invaluable and would happily us him again. On the way back into Paris he recommended the Mormottan Monet museum in the 16th arr., where he dropped us off. It was our “Monet Day”. It was wonderful.

We had an incredible experience on this private tour. I have done Giverny by train, but this way is 100% worth it! Philippe is truly an exceptional human being. He has a really high EQ and set just the right tone for our group. Also, he is an absolute expert on all things France, including the topic du jour, Giverny. We really appreciated how well he shared his knowledge with us in a way that felt more personable than simply a tour.
He picked us up in his like new, comfortable Mercedes luxury van, with waters. The trip to/from was easy and we got to see a lot of history along the way going through cute little French villages. Skipping the line at Monet’s was a life saver, and Philippe expertly navigated the grounds pushing one of us in a wheelchair provided by the estate, while guiding us on the tour.
He also guided us on where to take the best photographs and he took AMAZING photos of our group.
I can’t recommend him enough. We wanted to try to get him for the rest of our tours, but of course he’s fully booked! Thank you Philippe, for such a memorable trip to Giverny.

Excellent experience! Phillipe was on time for our hotel pick-up. The minivan was impeccably clean, the seats were very comfortable, the air conditioning worked well (important on a hot day!) and there were plenty of bottles of water for our group. The drive was smooth, and Phillipe talked about Giverny and Monet on the way there. He's very knowledgeable! He guided us through the gardens & Monet's house; he shared more history on-site, including historical photos; and took pictures of us. We took a scenic route back to Paris, where he showed us, among other things, homes built into the side of a mountain, and we stopped for a snack at a delicious bakery. He answered so many of our non-Giverny questions as well. Will definitely be back for another tour with Phillipe next visit to Paris. He was personable, kind, and accommodating (we had to change our date and time). Thank you, Phillipe!!

Had an excellnt trip to Giverny with Frederic from Best of France Tours. Frederic picked us up at our rental, was personable, very knowledgeable, and had a good dry sense of humor. He's been doing this for 22+ years and knew his way around the sites, knew the people there, gave great tours, answered any questions we had, and could take great pictures of us too! Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic day with Philippe & couldn’t have asked for a more perfect four of Giverny. Philippe was not only friendly, but he communicated his wealth of knowledge through interesting stories that made Monet come alive. He also drove us through the nearby villages on the way back to get a flavor of the region. Would highly recommend and look forward to other tours with Philippe! Merci!

We had an absolutely lovely private excursion with Philippe, who is an experienced tour guide with the Ministry of France. He was a wealth of information as we toured the gardens, Monet's home and popped in to see his burial site as well. Philippe was informative, funny, and gave us pointers on our French as well!

Our tour guide, Philippe was excellent! He was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We had a wonderful day at Giverny strolling the gardens and touring Monet’s house. Philippe told us all about the history of Monet and his life. We highly recommend this experience! Ask for Philippe.
