Walking through the town and stopping at the tulips on the return to Amsterdam were the highlights for us!

Rashid was a GREAT guide on our tour. He was extremely attentive and very knowledgeable of the area. The boat ride was also excellent — relaxing, comfortable (even on a cold day) and immersed us into the Giethoorn experience.
We could have stayed longer!

This is the best of 3 viator tours We took. The guide is great in explaining everything. We also had a bottle of water and apple from the Guide. The other two did not provide a bottle of water.

We enjoyed the day. Not quite as much to do in the town as we thought- but thoroughly enjoyed the day and the boat ride was very good.

What has occurred in this village is terrible. I would rate the destination as #1 tourist trap during our 5 week trip. It's sold as quint but nothing less than a bumper car boat ride. The town planners surely want to build a tourist area and it supports their economy but outside of the few wonderful houses (where you can see in traditional villages), it offers little in authentic culture. The guides were fine though..

This was an amazing experience. We went from Amsterdam to Giethoorn with a small group (6 of us total) in a van. Our tour guide was awesome! He knew the country, and he treated us like family. This was the best day of our week in the Netherlands!

It was a wonderful day trip! I have wanted to go to Giethoorn forever. Ibrahim did a great job. We even stopped at a farm for some fresh apples and pears and the were delicious.
We did have a little rain while we were cruising the canals but it did not matter. We still had a great time.
I highly recommend you go to Giethoorn.
