It was a great dive into Greek culture, including some of the oldest restaurants, family companies etc. I think the point is more to indeed give a _taste_ of local specialties (from all over Greece) and some history lessons along the way. Our guide, Dimitri(s?) was the most friendly guy, who was admirably proud of his culture with an extensive knowledge of it.
The tour included a part with a liquor distillery and a part with some special meats and cheeses, so it might not be as vegan or "sober" friendly, but nothing will be forced down your throat anyway.

Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. He provided insight into Athens history and took us to places that locals visit. The food choices were excellent and serving sizes great. In addition, the staff at the restaurants were very welcoming. We also stopped in a honey store (sorry! can’t remember the name) and it was so interesting and again- fabulous shop owners! Keep that stop on this tour for sure. Highly recommend this tour-

Pascal’s tour was amazing. He was so friendly and knowledgeable, took us for some amazing traditional Greek foods and honey tasting. Everything was delicious, highly recommend.

We had a blast with our group and Pascal. We visited so many great eateries, I was stuffed after the 2nd stop so pace yourself. I promised you won’t leave hungry. Pascal knew so much about the culture and history of Athens, highly recommend this! Worth every penny!!

Christina was our guide for our unforgettable EAThens tour on May 7. We have been on many city tours in different parts of the world but what makes a tour most memorable is when a guide is genuinely enthusiastic about wanting to share something special about what she loves about the place where she lives, in this case, a delectable sampling of the foods of Athens. By the way, the amount and variety of food alone on this tour is well worth the fee ! Beginning with the charcuterie sampling of meats, cheeses, olives rusks and wine, Christina explained which meats and cheeses were typical of each region as well as which were her personal favorites. On our trip to a restaurant specializing in sweet and savory pies made with filo dough, she explained that there were different kinds of filo dough for different types of baked pies. The meal at the taverna was a feast of wonderful small plates of delicious home style dishes that made us feel as if we were guests at someone’s Sunday family dinner. And in the extra mile department, Christina gave us a list of her personal favorite places to eat in Athens and responded to texted questions well after the tour. Thank you again Christina for giving us one of our most unforgettable experiences in Athens!

Anna was amazing, welcoming and extremely welcoming. Appreciated her interest in us just as much as we had interest in her and Athens along with Greek food. Oh, and talking food... AMAZING!!! so much bounty to eat. Just awesome food, gfresh, tasty and well presented. Anna gave fabulous background, insite to Athens/Greek life. Walked away with extremely full bellies with smiles on our face... highly recommended experience when in Athens!!
