A master storyteller, our tour guide, Lolly, totally engaged my husband, 10-year-old granddaughter and me as he shared the history of his people during our walk with him through the city. He brings to life the stories (sagas) of the people who settled in this land of fire and ice, with their difficult struggles not only to survive, but to free themselves from outside control and establish a democratic form of government. We were amazed to learn how, over a relatively short period of time, they transformed their largely insular, poverty-stricken existence into becoming one of the happiest, safest, and most welcoming countries in the world. Even the promised hot dog fits into the story!

Our tour guide, Lolly, with his mastery of his people’s history and his lively storytelling, totally engaged my husband, 10-year-old granddaughter and me as we walked with him through the city. While the natural features of the small country - literally fire and ice - are wondrous to behold, the stories (sagas) of the people who settled there, their difficult struggles for independence and their survival are also fascinating. Most impressive to us was learning how, over a relatively short period of time, they transformed their largely insular, poverty-stricken existence into being one of the happiest, safest, and most welcoming countries in the world. Even the hot dog is part of the story!

I had an amazing tour led by Lalli. He knew a lot about the city and was a wonderful storyteller. I made a mistake on which day I booked my tour which resulted in me needing to reschedule at the last minute. Lella from the tour reached out and helped me right away with much ease. Definitely recommend booking if you are going to Reykjavik.

Lalli and his clever, informative and funny delivery of historical facts made this one of the very best things we did during our whole Iceland trip! It's a walking tour, but not too taxing with lots of stops filled with tons of stories. I can't recommend it strongly enough!

Very good storyteller! We enjoyed the tour and seeing some of the less common sights of the city, as well as a nice lunch.
