I am writing to say how pleased we are with the services provided by Private Day Tours, especially their driver, Lorenzo. His knowledge of Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano is extensive, and he generously shared this with us. He walked with us down to the bottom of Positano and pointed out 3-4 restaurants. We looked at each, and when we chose one, he walked over with us, only to be warmly greeted by one of his childhood friends. He did not try to influence our choice of restaurant, but once we chose, we were treated like family. We recommend him highly to you, and will do so whenever we speak with friends who may be planning to visit Rome and Naples.
I would also like to thank Private Day Tours very much for connecting us with Daniela Mantice for the visit to Pompeii. She did an excellent job of determining our interests and then built the 2 hour tour around those. She is exceedingly knowledgeable about Pompeii and very charming and engaging. My wife had long talks with her about the people of Pompeii, their culture, food, and art.
This day is the highlight of our trip, and one we will never forget.

We couldn't have ask for a better service from anyone besides Private Day Tours. We had a private transfer fromNaples airport to the Ferry. We also went on the private Pompei tour and the Amalfi coast tour. At the end of
our trip we had a private transfer to the Naples airport. Gio was our guide for several of the tours and we loved him. He had a wonderful personality and always made sure we were taken care of. We were so excited after our first tour to see him pick us up for the next one! The Pompei tour was outstanding! It is amazing to see how this city is still there and how the people lived. The ride around the different towns were beautiful. The scenery is unbelievable. Gio took us to a wonderful restaurant. I highly recommended Private Day Tours! We will look forward to using them again one day!!

I did a Pompey Sorento and Positano tour. They schedule the Pompey Guide (paid separately). The driver was very polite and nice, picked us up inside the train station at the platform exit. The car was was a nice van, clean and new.

This is the second time we have used Private Day Tours. We used the service 8 years ago when we were in the Amalfi Coast.
Gianluca is professional and efficient. She was so helpful in organizing our tours and transfers. Davide and Angelo were great drivers and got us where we were going. The boat trip to Capri was the highlight of our trip. We will be sure to use Private Day Tours next time we come to Italy and you should too!

We actually used Gianluca and his team for multiple things during our trip to Amalfi last week: a tour of Pompeii/Vesuvius, transfers from Napoli to Sorrento and again from Sorrento to Positano and finally a private tour of the Amalfi Coast taking us to Amalfi, Ravello, Scalia, Fuorore etc. We had three drivers-Aldo, Davide and Lelo - across those few days and all three were incredibly hospitable, knowledgeable about the region and kind. And Our Pompeii guide-Francisco- was top notch as well. Leading up to the trip, Gianluca’s customer service was above and beyond….so much so we cancelled another tour we had booked and swapped it to be with him bc we could already tell he treated every customer with care and importance. I will 100% use Gianluca’s services again next time I’m in the region and will recommend him to anyone who asks for tips in the future. 5 stars plus!

Our driver, Aldo, was punctual, very helpful and knowledgeable, and flexible as we adjusted our itinerary on the fly! When we got to Pompeii we were introduced to Daniela, our tour guide, who was such a wonderful person with vast knowledge of the ancient town, the history and culture, the catastrophic Vesuvius event and had anecdotes and humour in abundance. Daniela even helped us avail of the under-18s free entry for our kids (we had forgotten about this and hadn't brought any IDs with us), by pleading with the ticket office on our behalf.
It was a day we'll never forget!!

Lelo was our private driver during our entire stay in Sorrento. He drove to and from the airport, as well as taking us on a day tour of the Amalfi coast. He was always on time, friendly, and knowledgeable . I highly recommend this company for your transportation needs as well as any private tours you want to take while visiting the Amalfi Coast!

This was my first time on the Amalfi Coast. Marco (or Mario) picked us up promptly. He spoke excellent English and was pleasant and informative. We were to tour the Amalfi Coast and then Pompeii. Unfortunately, when driving to Pompeii we found out when we were up in the mountains that two different roads were closed because of rock slides the night before. We found a third road that got us to Pompeii.
When in Pompei, Antonio took us on the tour. He took us to the less congested areas of Pompei. I’ve been there before and saw the same things as I did in the group tour.
The negatives:
We had to pay for our own tickets to get into Pompei and for our lunch. We’ve taken other private tours and those costs were included. For lunch, Antonio directed us to sit at a small table outside the Pompei entrance, that he had an interest in. It was a café that belonged to his family and we had no choice in where we ate.

Gianluca was very prompt with communication and price is reasonable for the services.We were picked up from Naples airport and had a 2 hour tour of Pompeii and a drive around Naples. The following day Francesco drove us around the Amalfi Coast. Francesco is a very good and safe driver and referred us to a restaurant that had delicious food and a great view of the coast. Gianluca didn't charge us after we were picked up for a Capri Island boat tour-due to a heavy rain. We had barely left our hotel and had to go back due to the rain. Francesco drove us back to the airport the following day. I would recommend Private Day Tour.

The service provided was very very good.we were picked up on time.looked after very well.Laloo is a safe and careful driver as the roads were very steep and windy.He has a clear knowledge about what he is explaining.we had booked them for two days.The car was spacious and clean.we would highly recommend this tour company.Laloo explained all the history attached to each place.our first experience in Italy was made memorable due to them.Thank you
