We leave early in the morning from El Calafate and after 80 km we arrive in the walkaway area in front of the Perito Moreno Glacier. During this morning you will have time to walk around the walkways which connect different viewpoints through paths and stairs and where you can enjoy different views of this spectacular Glacier!
You will also be sailing for approximately 1 hour through the Rich Branch of Argentino Lake at a distance of 150 meters from the South face of Perito Moreno Glacier!

the ticket you need to buy is for Rio Mitre y Glaciar Perito Moreno, the 1-day option, you can also purchase the entrance the day of the tour, in cash or credit card in pesos at the park entrance.

We were very lucky with the weather, not a cloud in the sky, just blue and sunny all day. Julieta was a great guide explaining everything in Spanish and in English for the travellers on the comfortable bus. The first sight of the majestic glacier as we went round a curve was exciting. The boat ride up close to the glacier was marvellous, so were the pasarelas. The national park is well kept and preserved as it should be, a lot to learn from Argentina and Chile Patagonia parks. It was the hightlight of our visit to Argentina. Thanks to Cristian, the driver also.

The glacier! The drive to and from is picturesque and you see wildlife along the way. It’s definitely worth it to hike the trails and spring for the boat ride. You won’t be disappointed!

I have just returned from a fabulous visit to Patagonia and Viviana really made this trip special. She was our guide on a day trip to El Merino Glacier and every detail of the day trip was perfect . Pick up from our hotel on time , really excellent local knowledge on the glacier from Viviana combined with her lovely personality made this a great day. Viviana also provided lots of local knowledge and ideas for us to make this most of our time in Patagonia. I am very happy to highly recommend her as a local guide !

Spectacular scenery and a well-organised trip with great guide. We were not rushed, and so there was enough time to really enjoy the awesome splendour of the glacier and icebergs.

The tour was mind-blowing. Alejandra, the tour guide was very knowledgeable about the geological structure and substance of the Perito Moreno Glacier and her personality was very accommodating for the members in the group.
