You will hike, river trek to beautiful deep greenish blue pools, jump in the water and river float through underground caves. Explore a channel between breathtaking and unique rock formations carved by the passing of the river, all this surrounded by a beautiful lush scenery.
End this adventure by stopping at a delicious local food restaurant and then hiking a short trail to a hidden small natural spring; a beautiful oasis in the middle of a forest. This is a challenging tour that requires a certain degree of physical fitness, balance and river trekking skills. All participants will wear a life vest, but still must have basic swimming skills. Closed sturdy water hiking shoes required.

We had a wonderful time with Yamile! She is friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. You can tell that she loves nature and all animals deeply from her heart. It wasn’t about us trying to conquer nature; instead, it was about learning how to fit into nature's masterpiece.
We definitely recommend this trip! If we have the chance to visit PR again, we will book tours from Yamile for sure.

I consider myself kind of a trailblazer and I don't usually like going on tours. Yamile is a perfectionist to handles every aspect of the tour herself and does an excellent job of everything. In addition, she took us to places and showed us things that, even as an adventurous tourist who likes to do research, I would never have found on my own. I would definitely recommend her and use her again the next time I'm in Puerto Rico for a vacation.

Jamile was an excellent guide knowing all of the local vegetation and sharing interesting stories from her childhood relating to them. The hike was incredible and manageable for even someone in their 60’s like me. Jamile took hundreds of pictures and videos of our journey through out the rainforest which she airdropped to everyone on the tour. She even went out of her way to pick up at our hotel an hour away from the tour, very convenient. I would definitely recommend this hike for anyone that is interested in experiencing a real tropical rainforest with a very knowledgeable guid that lives in the area. Well worth doing!

A truly unforgettable experience! This tour far surpassed my expectations. Our guide, Yamile, was energetic, knowledgeable, and accommodating. She treated us all like we were her own family. This trip was like an amphibious version of Arizona’s Antelope Canyon…..but much longer and more challenging. I highly recommend this excursion for those seeking a physical challenge in an absolutely gorgeous setting! Truly the caves and waterfalls were unforgettable.

Yamile absolutely lived up to her reputation as an amazing guide. You can find all her trips at puertoricoasalocal.com and I would highly recommend her! She brought us through some pretty incredible parts of the arenales caves that I doubt you would find on other tours. Our group had varying skill levels and she was able to navigate everyone through some technical parts of this adventure. She’s super knowledgeable, extremely friendly and made sure every person on our trip had what they needed to make it memorable. Bonus: she took pictures of everyone so we would have been fine without bringing our phone. She is an amazing steward of these areas and leads the group with humor and confidence. Just book with her you won’t regret it!

Yamile is an awesome and caring tour guide. This river, hidden spring and cave tour is the best tour I experienced in Puerto Rico. I am petite and do not know how to swim; yet with her experienced guidance and also help from other group members, I managed slippery slopes and enjoyed the caves and the whole day tour.

This was one of the “hands down” best nature tours we have had! The tour operator was a true local that led us on a cultural journey through the amazing Puerto Rico mountains. We are raving this experience to all our friends and family. This is a must do for anyone visiting the area!

Yamile was the best tour guide I’ve ever had! She’s super experienced, passionate about her job and familiar with the rainforest. It was pouring rain when we went and she really cared about our safety. She tested the current herself and picked the safer route for us to see the amazing caves. She’s also a great photographer and picks the best Puerto Rican food!! This is a lifetime’s worth of tour, definitely recommend everyone!

Water was cold and the cave was sometimes dark but it was all worth it!!!
Had absolutely amazing time!!!
The difference is Yamile she will make every obstacle easy to overcome !
The views are breathtaking but you have to trust in your guide to get you there!
I would do this trip again in a heartbeat!
