Beautiful tiny island close to Denarau. We chose this island for our last day in Vita Levu before going back to LA. We were picked up at our hotel on the Coral Coast and taken to Port Denarau, where we dropped off our luggage for the day at luggage storage place for a fee that was located inside a travel agency (can’t miss it - it is right there). The boat first makes a stop at Malamala Beach Club, which is owned by the same company. Most people get off there, as it is a larger and more popular destination for the day. South Sea is only 20 minutes further. It is a very small island with beautiful turquoise water and white sand all around. The lunch buffet (included) was outstanding. They also offered unlimited sodas and beer. We found a lovely area with two chaises under an umbrella on the far side of the island away from the music and crowds. The snorkeling was quite good in that area. Note that this is an area with a lot of coral and it is wise to enter with sea shoes to avoid getting hurt. There is a very small swimming pool that tends to be overcrowded. We jumped in briefly to clean us off from the salty sea water, only to soon discover how filthy it was. No outdoor showers so we had to go back in the ocean to rinse off again! Note that there are no beach towels to rent or buy. Fortunately we knew this ahead of time and were able to buy some before boarding in Port Denarau. Despite no showers and disgusting pool, we enjoyed our day a lot. If we ever return to Fiji, we will opt for Malamala and give that a try instead.

The weather was lovely, the water was clear, the snorkeling was good even just off the island. There was a cultural dance and song show with great photo ops. Most of the folks got down at Maramala beach resort and we weren't sure if the handful left behind on the boat made a right decision. It was a more laidback and rustic place but we had a fun time as we're a big family group.

Great day had by all!! There were 7 of us and we ranged in age from 60 down to 3 and we all agreed it was one of the best days we’d ever spent on holiday! The staff were amazing! The food was delicious and so well organised. There was so much food that no one went hungry.. in fact seconds was offered.
There was plenty of time to relax and do the water activities as well as the submarine which was a big hit with all of us.
I would definitely recommend this trip it’s such great value for money.

Pick up at hotel is listed at 10:00am. Driver showed up at 8:15am. No call on cell or having the hotel concierge ring our room. Just left without us. We could have been ready to go in 5 minutes had we known. Tour operator refused to refund.

Another disappointing tour in Fiji. South Seas Island is actually pretty boring. This is definitely not worth $200 AUD per person. Half hour cruise to an island that is almost impossible to swim at, even in calm conditions. Island is covered in shell and coral, making it difficult to walk around with any comfort. From waters edge you are met with rock making hard to enter.
A tropical island where the food served had not a single seafood option. You are dished up precooked pork sausage, just cooked chicken legs and smashed up beef patties, along with a variety of salads. Make sure you get in on the first serve, they pack up quick once everyone has been through once.
Family of four adults makes this an expensive day to sit on a beanbag, swim and eat an average lunch for 8 hours. Arrived on the island at 9:30, was had done everything before lunch. We managed to get on a slightly earlier boat to leave the island.

A beautiful island and a lovely day. The wind was up and unfortunately that meant the water attractions were cancelled, but my family still enjoyed themselves. The lunch was very nice, staff super friendly and complimentary drinks were ice cold!

Its was a hopeless trip. The food food was worse then dog food. There were no axtivities organised. The drinks were all warm. And they sad they had other thing that we could buy like other drinks but they dint have it on the island. My whole family us disapponted and would like to advise others to rethink before getting a booking
