Dem was exceptional. We started our day early at 8 am so we could cover most of the attractions before it started to rain (nature's decision, it never rained :))
Dem provided us with enough history behind each attraction, gave us sufficient time (although we overshot at the Acroplis Museum) to see every attraction ag our own pace.
As we are vegetarians he made sure to take us to the best Greek restaurant in the city where there were vegetarian options. The owner of the restaurant was so kind he even took us to the kitchen to show and explain what veggie dishes they had prepared. Food was excellent and the complimentary dessert that came as surprise was out of the world. We were so full with starters and main course we felt bad thar we couldn't finish the dessert but ofcourse we thoroughly enjoyed.
Our final stop at Temple of Poseidon was breathtaking. Dem also took us to a hidden lake. The drive was awesome. I wish we had time to stay until sunset but ofcourse it was our decision to start the tour early and it had to end.
The WarmPenguin tour operators were excellent! Can't thank them enough for re-scheduling our tour to a day early and for introducing us to the most wonderful guide Dem.

From the moment we were picked up to the moment we were dropped off our entire tour was perfection. We never felt rushed and were given plenty of history and tips for being in Athens. Best part was lunch at Akrogiali. Incredible suggestions on good food and wine. Wouldn't have changed a thing

I needed a tour compatible with my cruise ship's docking time. This company worked with me to find a perfect time. We could see a few of the highlights of Athens in about 9 hours. The price seemed high until we realized it was a group price--the more, the merrier! They met us at the cruise terminal in a good-sized Mercedes Benz van, with lots of room for us and our luggage-- a delightful lunch by the sea with fish caught that day--and advice about pre-purchasing tickets online to avoid waiting in line at the site. Our driver spoke excellent English and provided a running commentary throughout the day. At the end of the tour, he dropped us off at our hotel. I preferred this tour to ANY of the tours I took while on the cruise. You may note that I described the experience with the tour company because I do not have the words to describe the splendors of Athens and Attica. They seemed very willing to work with individuals who have unique time limits--for example a long layover in Athens.

For this tour, my family had Vasilios and he was such a warm, kind, and fun tour guide. He knew the backstory on everything we went to see and so many other small, interesting facts about random things we would pass in the van. I’m not going to lie, I was a little skeptical about this tour but it really made my family’s trip to Greece so much better than it would have been than if we had tried to plan this all by ourself. We had the perfect amount of time at each place and had a great meal by the sea on the way to Sounion. Please do this tour - you will not regret it. And ask for Vasilios (If anyone from Warmpenguin is reading this, give that man a raise!).
