Hi, This is Pancho(Tetsuo Hamano). Please call me Pancho that only my best friend dubbed me and I love that!
I'm the son of a A-bomb survivor whose father and my grandparents were a couple of miles away from the hypocenter when the Bomb exploded. However, all of them survived and told me some stories about what happened to them. I can share my family stories during my tour. Another stop of the tour In Miyajima island,Guests able to see/know the secret why these shrine and Great-Torii gate standing on the shore and seeming like floating on water. We will stop some of local place and tips during the tour that makes you wonder and more comfortable your Hiroshima/Miyajima visit. I have food tour experience, so I have some secret recommendation restaurant for you! I have been a tour guide for 2 years since during Covid-situation that I jumped into the tourism industry to make my dream come true. Pancho gave a knowledgeable, well paced and respectful tour of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial. He was open to all questions. In the afternoon a much lighter destination, Miyajima Island, was highlighted by his inside knowledge of where to find cherry blossoms!

My husband and I take lot of tours and they are not all the same. But Pancho is one of our favorites. He was local so he knew all the stories, the people, the history, photo ops, best lunch and cake spot! He was genuine- and knew the history. It was a heavy subject but he lead us in all the right directions, the basement underneath the temple we are still talking about. And Mr. Nomura who survived in the basement …wow! So glad we found you Pancho- we wish you did more cities in Japan. Thank you

This was a very interesting tour and am very glad we did it with Panch, a Hiroshima-native. It was interesting to hear the stories from someone who was directly linked to this place and whose family was there during the bombing. Not just that, but Pancho was very polite and we really enjoyed his company for the full-day.

Pancho was our guide and he was fantastic! There were two main components - the peace park memorial and bomb done plus miyajima island. Pancho was knowledgeable and considerate in his commentary. He obviously had a huge understanding of the history and impact of the atomic bomb drop and was very professional in sharing his insights coupled with the facts. We then travelled to the island and once again Pancho was so engaging in his manner and his willingness to adapt to our needs as the day unfolded. We learned so much. It was one of the most enjoyable days of our 3 weeks in Japan. Very engaging and worthwhile. Highly recommended!

Pancho is an awesome tour guide! He is very patient and kind and answered all of our questions. He is extremely knowledgeable and his ties through his family to the bombing were very insightful. His English is excellent. He is such a fun person to be around and we would recommend this tour to anyone! We will remember this for the rest of our lives.

I was in Japan for three weeks in December (2023). I traveled to different cities on the weekends and went on tours to make the most of my time there. Out of all the trips and tours, Pancho was the absolute best. He taught me so much about the history and culture of Japan. It was hands down the best day I had in Japan (as well as my coworker). We went on a tour after this one in Kyoto and both said, too bad we aren't with Pancho!
If you are trying to tour in/around Hiroshima, I could not recommend a better guide!

Pancho was an awesome guide. He had family member accounts to share with us about August 6, 1945. He took us to many meaningful and impactful places and he was very personable. He engaged our 11 year old son and made the day great.

Pancho was an engaging and talented guide who showed us some of the best places in his home town of Hiroshima. His background in the corporate world and own travel experiences add to his understanding of what tourists are after. Also, he is the unofficial ambassador of the superb Japanese dish of Okonomiyaki (Hiroshima style). Always nice to meet someone who loves what they do. Highly recommend.
