For this full day tour, we will visit three incredible places that are completely unique to this area. As well as learning more about Costa Rican coffee, we will visit Poás Volcano, one of only five active volcanoes in the country. We will then see over 100 species including rescued sloths and hummingbirds in the La Paz Waterfall Gardens. This is my favourite trip in the San Jose area, providing you with a great combination of picturesque scenery and the chance to get up close to many species found in Costa Rica.

Great experience, will recommend FOR SURE, Olman is the best tour guide ever, very knowledgeable of everything, very accommodating, making sure we were good and comfortable all the time. We were a group of four friends and he even took lots of pictures of us together. Always want it to go to see a volcano, little sad it was very cloudy and it wasn’t too clear to see , but that was nature decision 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Make sure you include this tour on your San Jose, Costa Rica trip .

Fantastic day seeing a coffee plantation, an active volcano, beautiful waterfall and rescued wild animals. Olman and Gary were our guides and they were very organized and full of knowledge. We stopped for fresh strawberries too. Highly recommend this daytrip from San Jose. *Be sure to bring rain gear just incase. And a mask or buff for the gases at the volcano if the wind is blowing. It’s cooler in the mountains. Wear good walking shoes and be prepared for a lot of steps on the waterfall walk. Bring water bottles. There are chances to buy snacks and souvenirs and good restrooms.

This tour was fabulous from the communication before the tour, throughout the tour to the end. Gary was a thorough tour guide; he explained every detail of the tour along with expectations to ensure all could enjoy a great experience. Even when my daughter got sick on the tour, he and Carlos (the driver) went the extra mile to make certain she was well cared for.

La Paz waterfall gardens were lovely. Waterfalls, gardens, animal sanctuary and lovely buffet lunch.

This trip exceeded my expectations. The volcano was awesome. The La Paz Gardens and waterfalls were beautiful and there are so many different animals there.
Our driver was patient but could have done a better job of keeping track of everyone. We ended up separated from our group even though we waited where we were told to meet.

This tour was amazing and better than we could have imagined. Our tour guide Olman was fantastic and the van we drove in was comfortable and air conditioned. When we stopped by the coffee plantation Olman gave a thorough explanation on how the coffee was picked and he answered any questions we had with ease. We made sure to buy some coffee because it really tastes amazing in the shop. From reading other reviews on the volcano we knew there was a chance it would be to cloudy to see but we ended up being extremely lucky! We made it there just in time to see it erupting gases and we watched in awe until it was too cloudy to see anything anymore. After the volcano we went to the conservatory and waterfalls. My husband and I love animals and nature and it was so beautiful there. We were able to get very close to a lot of the animals which was very cool. The drive was long but so scenic and informative that it went by almost too quickly:)

Olman was a great guide, ponctual, flexible, super nice, very knowledgeable about all the places we visited. He drove us cautionsly and smoothly despite the traffic and the bad weather. Highlight of the day : the view at La Paz from the reception over the whole domain.

If I could give more than a 5 star rating I would. Everything was excellent. Olman was a great tour guide. I never felt rushed we took our time at every stop. Although we not able to see the bottom of the volcano due to the clouds I did not mind. I would definitely book this tour again.
