Wow, it's hard to pick a favorite. Our guide, Lester, was phenomenal. He was so knowledgeable and a great storyteller! The large photos of movie scenes helped bring each setting alive. WETA Workshop was very cool as well. We ditched our regular tour group's daily activity to take this Lord of the Rings tour and we're very happy that we did!!! Thank you, Lester, for a fantastic day!!!

The unfortunate strong cold wind but the guide was great. We enjoy his narrative thoroughly. It’s informative yet injected with humours.

The driver tour guide (Stan we think his name was) was exceptional and amazing. He is extremely knowledgeable about LOTR and we had fun going to all the filming sites. He showed photos filmed in each location which helped to visualized the scenes. The tour guide at Weta studios was great and very knowledgeable. We had a blast, best tour we did on our cruise, the highlight of the trip

Our driver and guide was very knowledgeable of the filming locations and scenes from the films. As we traveled between the sites, he shared the rich history of the land and commerce of the area. Additionally he was able to point out where the actors and crew hung out during the filming. The Weta Workshop tour was icing on the cake.

For Lord of the Rings enthusiasts, this trip was great! Our driver, Lester, was a wonderful guide and person. He communicated well and kept us informed of our schedule. He was kind and accommodating in every way. He went above and beyond to assist me and my husband with an issue we encountered. Being part of a small group was also a plus.

We had a fantastic day with Lester driving around the Wellington area. He was extremely knowledgeable, lots of fun, and had large laminated photos of stills from the film and behind the scenes to compare to the beautiful scenery. He went the extra mile: acting as a photographer and cinematographer, and welcoming us with a Haka. We went in with high expectations, and they were all surpassed! Thanks for a great day!

The trip was great, showing us various film sites for The Lord of the Rings, albeit 25 years later on - all the scenery is so great. The highlight has to be the visit to the WETA workshop and seeing the various artefacts and hearing about the work that goes into making the various special effects. We had a passionate and interesting guide, who gave us a proper Maori welcome and blessing in the beautiful forest near Rivendell; and our tour guide in the Weta workshop was also very passionate about the work and the company.
